Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent QB Baker Mayfield is expected to be a target of the Atlanta Falcons in free agency if the team can't acquire Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields in a trade, per sources on Saturday, March 2.
Huddle Up: Mayfield revived his career with the Buccaneers in 2023 and should garner interest from QB-needy teams if he doesn't return to Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans is due to become an unrestricted free agent at the start of the new league year next month, but general manager Jason Licht made it clear on Tuesday, Feb. 27, that the team is "going to do whatever we can to make sure he's a Buc."
Huddle Up: With the league recently announcing the salary cap will take a $30 million hike in 2024, it certainly should increase Tampa Bay's chances of retaining the only receiver ever to begin his career with 10 straight 1,000-yard seasons. However, the change at offensive coordinator from Dave Canales to Liam Coen may result in a slight hit to his fantasy stock next season - assuming he is re-signed.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin is expected to play much more often in the slot in 2024, according to comments made by new offensive coordinator Liam Coen.
Huddle Up: While a return to the slot on more of a full-time basis does not mean Godwin should be expected to return to push for 100 catches again, it also does not rule it out. Coen is a product of the Sean McVay coaching tree and has seen his share of primary slot receivers have career years in that offense (Wan'Dale Robinson at Kentucky and Cooper Kupp, to name a couple). A more slot-heavy role should allow Godwin to be much more consistently productive in 2024, so he should be viewed as a high-upside WR3 at worst for now.

He has 94 touchdowns in that span, scoring 13 or more times in three of the last four years. Wherever he plays in 2024, Evans should be the No. 1 option and a WR1 candidate for fantasy owners.
