Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller (ankle) could have a limited role in the offense early in the season as he missed most of organized team activities and minicamp to a shoulder injury and most of the preseason with an ankle injury.
Huddle Up: Miller is still someone to target late in drafts for his long-term value, but he has struggled to learn the nuances of the offense and now has missed most of the offseason and preseason. He might be someone to keep an eye on via the waiver wire for the first couple of weeks.

Chicago Bears RB David Montgomery has made an instant impression, and the team is 'in love' with him, according to Yahoo Sports' Terez A. Paylor, who just finished visiting the team's training camp. Paylor tweeted that Montgomery is 'a no-nonsense guy who takes football very seriously. The Bears love that, plus his receiving skills & make-you-miss. He will help this team immediately.'
Huddle Up: The Iowa State product has garnered fantasy buzz since he was drafted in the third round this spring, and if you want him, you'll likely have to draft him as your RB2 given all the hype.

Chicago Bears PK Eddy Pineiro is not locked in as the team's starting kicker with the release Sunday, Aug. 18, of competing PK Elliott Fry, in the opinion of one veteran beat writer, who said the favorite is likely an unknown, soon-to-be-released kicker from another team.
Huddle Up: Just for those in fantasy leagues which still use kickers and are anxiously awaiting the fate of the Bears' starting gig. (Sarcasm intended)

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky is 'way past' where he was last season in reading defenses, according to head coach Matt Nagy. Trubisky was not always in tune with reading blitzes and coverages because he was so worried about getting the play called. Now, he's playing off of instincts.
Huddle Up: It's a promising tidbit, but it also needs to be shown on the field. There are a lot of quarterbacks jumbled in the midrange to low-end QB1 area this year. Some are aging, and some haven't taken that next step. Trubisky could be jumbled into that pot or as a high-end QB2.

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller (ankle) did not practice Sunday, Aug. 11, because of his sprained ankle, but head coach Matt Nagy said Miller should be ready for Week 1.
Huddle Up: Miller will have several weeks to recover from his ankle injury. He likely will be a top-three receiver for the Bears in 2019 and has a chance to receive a solid amount of targets. He can be considered a late-round option in fantasy leagues.

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller (foot) suffered a foot injury during practice Saturday, Aug. 10, but head coach Matt Nagy said he does not believe the injury is serious.
Huddle Up: Miller could miss some practices because of the injury but does not appear to be in danger of missing any games. He should have a solid role in the passing game and could be a late-round option in fantasy leagues.

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller was listed as a starting receiver, alongside WRs Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel, on the first unofficial depth chart.
Huddle Up: Miller only caught 33 balls last season, but seven of them were for touchdowns, which tied for 16th in the league. He'll need more volume to pad that fluke-like touchdown rate, but he's a WR5 target.

Chicago Bears TE Trey Burton (undisclosed) remains out of practice Monday, Aug. 5. He was out Friday, Aug. 2, due to a planned day off and didn't practice the following day either.
Huddle Up: Burton is a TE2 that really disappointed last season and is looking to regain some undervalued luster.

Chicago Bears TE Trey Burton (hernia) was held out of practice by head coach Matt Nagy Friday, Aug. 2, and Saturday, Aug. 3. He had participated in the first five practices of training camp but was kept out of the two most recent sessions after appearing to struggle near the end of that stretch.
Huddle Up: Burton spent most of the offseason recovering from sports hernia surgery, so it could be a few weeks before he is 100 percent. However, he should still be viewed as a low-end TE1 candidate at a rather shallow position in fantasy football.

Chicago Bears TE Trey Burton (hernia) participated in the first day of training camp Friday, July 26.
Huddle Up: Burton continues to progress as expected, and while he didn't live up to the hype in his first year in Chicago, he still topped 500 yards and scored six times. At at thin position, he is still a low-end TE1 candidate.

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller (shoulder) was on the field for the start of training camp Friday, July 26.
Huddle Up: Miller is fully healthy heading into his second season, and after hauling in seven touchdowns as a rookie, he will have WR3 upside as Chicago's starting slot receiver.

Chicago Bears TE Trey Burton (hernia) is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, according to general manager Ryan Pace on Sunday, July 21.
Huddle Up: Burton disappointed fantasy managers last season after his tremendous Super Bowl performance with the Philadelphia Eagles the year before. He still caught six touchdowns and totaled 569 yards in a full 16 games and could be a strong post-hype sleeper candidate.

Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson was the team's highest-graded offensive player in 2018 at 77.7, according to Pro Football Focus.
Huddle Up: While playing in 13 games, Robinson led the Bears in targets (94) and produced a 55-754-4 receiving stat line in his first season in the Windy City. He looks to be QB Mitch Trubisky's top weapon and should be valued as a WR3 in drafts this summer.

Chicago Bears RB Tarik Cohen is expecting to maintain his role as the team's change-of-pace back this season despite an overhaul with the rest of the Bears' backfield. 'I feel like I'm going to be doing the same things I was doing last year,' Cohen told SiriusXM NFL Radio on Thursday, June 20. 'My role is not going to change. I still have to be the receiving back, come in be the change of pace back, running the ball, be that speedy guy. I'm just prepared for anything however I get the ball.'
Huddle Up: Cohen totaled 1,169 yards and eight TDs on 170 touches last season which ranked 11th among backs in PPR scoring and 17th in standard. He has RB2 PPR value if your league mates are too high on rookie David Montgomery.

Chicago Bears TE Trey Burton (hernia) will not participate in the offseason workouts because he is recovering from sports hernia surgery he had a few months ago. The team hopes he will be ready for training camp.
Huddle Up: Burton is coming off a season where he posted 569 yards and six touchdowns. He should see a solid amount of targets in 2019 and could be a No. 2 tight end in fantasy leagues.

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller (shoulder) said Friday, April 5 that he painfully dislocated his left shoulder 'maybe five or six times' during his rookie season. He had surgery to repair a torn labrum in January, and he has been rehabbing at his alma mater at the University of Memphis. He doesn' expected to practice much in the offseason until he is fully healed.
Huddle Up: Miller is determined to take a big step forward in his second NFL season, and he could be quite the sleeper in the the middle to late rounds on draft day. His rehab is reportedly going well, and he should be able to surpass the 33 catches, 423 yards and seven touchdowns he posted in 2018.

New England Patriots impending free-agent WR Cordarrelle Patterson agreed to a two-year, $10 million deal with the Chicago Bears Tuesday, March 12, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Patterson is a jack of all trades and an enticing weapon in Matt Nagy's creative offense. He'll need to share the ball with Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, Anthony Miller, Tarik Cohen and others, but Patterson is worth a late-round flier.

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller (shoulder) might not be 100 percent until training camp after undergoing surgery in January to fix his injured left shoulder. General manager Ryan Pace said Miller 'could be limited' in organized team activities (OTAs) and minicamp this spring.
Huddle Up: It sounds like there is no worry of Miller being ready for the season, but they might hold him out of OTAs and minicamp. Fantasy owners wouldn't mind that, as he would be preserved for training camp and the preseason. Miller managed seven TDs in 2018, and he might be a nice late-round pick in many drafts later this summer if he gets back to 100 percent.

Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson saw eight or more targets in two of his first nine games in 2018 but was targeted eight or more times in three of the last four regular season games. He also saw 13 targets in the playoff loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Huddle Up: Robinson underwhelmed in his first year in Chicago, finishing with 55 catches for 754 yards and four scores. However, the solid finish gives fantasy owners reason to be optimistic, and he will still be the No. 1 option in the Chicago passing attack. Robinson could be an underrated WR3 in 2019.

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller (shoulder) should not miss significant time during the offseason following his upcoming shoulder surgery, according to the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs, who believes Miller will be ready to go at or near the start of the team's offseason program.
Huddle Up: Biggs also mentioned he thought Miller could double his receptions and receiving yards in Year 2, which would put him in the neighborhood of 70 catches and 900 yards -- solid production assuming he continues to make things happen in the red zone. There's more upside with Miller than anyone else in the Bears receiving group, and he could emerge as a legit weekly starter if he continues to develop.

New England Patriots WR Cordarrelle Patterson rushed for three yards on one carry against the Los Angeles Chargers in the Divisional Round playoff game. He was targeted once in the passing game but finished with zero receptions.
Huddle Up: Patterson has been involved in the running and passing game this season and has posted at least 50 total yards in three of the last five games. He could be a flex option in some playoff fantasy leagues since there are not a lot of options available but is not a must-start option.

New England Patriots WR Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 10, and has been removed from the injury list for the Divisional Round playoff game.
Huddle Up: Patterson could be involved in the running and passing game this week but likely will only see a handful of touches. He could be a flex option in some leagues but can also be benched if owners have better options available.

New England Patriots WR Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) practiced in full Wednesday, Jan. 9.
Huddle Up: During the regular season Patterson wasn't much of a fantasy option, but in postseason pools he has some WR4 or flex appeal, especially as he battles Phillip Dorsett for the No. 3 duties with Josh Gordon no longer in the picture. Patterson could also have an impact in the return game this weekend.

Chicago Bears TE Trey Burton (groin) said Monday, Jan. 7, that he missed the club's Wild Card playoff game Sunday, Jan. 6, after he 'started to feel something' in his groin following practice Friday, Jan. 4, despite initially having no limitations. By Saturday, Jan. 5, it had 'locked up,' which he said was his 'body's way of handling threats' to his health.
Huddle Up: Burton's presence was sorely missed against the Eagles, as Bears tight ends only managed to combine for five catches for 28 yards in his absence. The 27-year-old is coming off a solid debut campaign in Chicago in which he posted career highs across the board, recording 54 catches for 569 yards and six touchdowns. He's firmly in the TE1 picture going into drafts next year.

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller finished with three receptions for 34 yards on five targets in the NFC Wild Card Game playoff loss against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Huddle Up: Miller wrapped up his rookie season with 33 receptions, 423 yards and seven touchdowns, showing glimpses of brilliance which made him a second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. He has a ton of upside and will be a dangerous slot receiver in this league and a good play for PPR fantasy league players going forward.

Chicago Bears WR Taylor Gabriel posted four receptions for 37 yards on nine targets in the NFC Wild Card Game playoff loss against the Philadelphia Eagles and he added 20 rushing yards on two attempts.
Huddle Up: Gabriel was a fairly vital cog in the Chicago offense in 2018, posting 68 grabs and 688 yards on 93 targets, all career bests. It's hard to imagine he doesn't have an equally similar role in 2019 behind Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller. Gabriel will be worth targeting in the final rounds of fantasy drafts in leagues of 12 or more teams.

Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson registered 10 receptions for 143 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets in the NFC Wild Card Game playoff loss against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Huddle Up: Robinson was a force in the playoff game, and he registered 754 receiving yards with 13.7 yards per game over 13 games. Health has been an issue for him in the past two seasons, but if he can stay healthy he is the legit No. 1 wideout in Chitown and worthy of WR3 status heading into 2019. Just plan to have depth at the position to swap him out in case of injury.

Chicago Bears RB Tarik Cohen rushed once for no gain and he had three grabs for 27 yards on five targets in the NFC Wild Card Game playoff loss against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Huddle Up: Cohen ended the regular season with 444 rushing yards while adding 71 grabs, 725 yards and five touchdowns through the air, and he was also a force in the return game at times. He has also not missed a game over his first two NFL seasons. Cohen will be a popular choice in PPR fantasy leagues in 2019 for his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and grab huge chunks of yardage after doing so.

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky completed 26-of-43 passes for 303 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the NFC Wild Card playoff game loss against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Huddle Up: Trubisky finished the 2018 regular season with 3,223 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and a 95.4 QB Rating. He will enter the 2019 NFL season as a low-end QB1 fantasy target with plenty of upside, especially if Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller can take another step forward.

Chicago Bears TE Trey Burton (groin) will be a game-time decision Sunday, Jan. 6, after being added to the injury report the previous day with a groin injury.
Huddle Up: Injuries that crop up late week seldom turn out well, and second-year TE Adam Shaheen suddenly could find himself with a larger role if Burton can't go against his former team.
