Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith received a three-year, $75 million extension Monday, April 15, that includes $51 million guaranteed.
Huddle Up: Smith finished as the WR16 in PPR leagues after an 81-1,066-7 line, and there feels like room for more. He's a solid WR2 in fantasy that may be overshadowed by A.J. Brown so much that he comes at a reduced rate.

Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith is under contract through 2024 at a base salary of just over $1 million and the team has until May 2 to exercise the fifth-year option on Smith's rookie deal for around $16 million. However, contract extension talks are reportedly ongoing and there is optimism that a deal will materialize in the near future, according to sources.
Huddle Up: There is a strong possibility Smith will command at least $25 million per season, which would mean the Eagles will have two such receivers (A.J. Brown being the other), a quarterback averaging over $50 million per season in Jalen Hurts, two offensive linemen topping $20 million (Landon Dickerson and Jordan Mailata) and a running back averaging $13 million (Saquon Barkley). With that said, a contract will probably get done as Smith has proven to be a very good receiver and should be entering his prime.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Devonta Smith has been talking with the team about a contract extension, and there is optimism that the two sides can reach an agreement in the near future, according to sources.
Huddle Up: Smith is coming off his second straight 1,000-yard season and has 14 touchdowns in the last two years. He will continue to be a big part of the passing game for the Eagles and should be a weekly starting option in fantasy leagues in 2024.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Parris Campbell believes head coach Nick Sirianni knows how to use him. "He knows how to utilize me as a player. He knows what my skills are. And then there's more people in the building, too, that I'm familiar with.
Huddle Up: Campbell likely won't have much value unless something happens to A.J. Brown or DeVonta Smith, but it wouldn't be surprise to see him battle for the team's WR3/4 role.

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles along with a fourth-round draft pick (No. 120) in exchange for a third-round selection (No. 98) and two seventh-round draft choices in 2025 on Friday, March 15.
Huddle Up: The Eagles land a young backup - one who was a first-round pick just two years ago - for Jalen Hurts. Best of all for Philadelphia, Pickett has two years remaining on his rookie contract, so he will serve as cheap depth for the team. Pickett's usefulness in fantasy - whatever little he had entering the offseason - will now be tied entirely to the health of Hurts.

Impending free-agent WR DeVante Parker (Patriots) reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year contract worth $4.69 million with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday, March 12.
Huddle Up: Parker will presumably handle the same role Julio Jones did late last season for the Eagles, which is to say he is highly unlikely to be worth rostering in fantasy on an offense that already has A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert and Saquon Barkley.

Impending free agent RB Saquon Barkley (Giants) agreed to a three-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to sources Monday, March 11. The deal is worth $37.75 million, has a max value of $46.75 million and includes $26 million fully guaranteed.
Huddle Up: Barkley is going to thrive in the Eagles running game as long as he stays healthy. His touchdown upside might be limited considering Jalen Hurts' presence, but he's a solid RB1 for fantasy purposes on his rushing upside alone.

New York Giants impending free-agent RB Saquon Barkley doesn't appear to be considering the Philadelphia Eagles as an option, according to sources Saturday, March 9.
Huddle Up: The Eagles could still be a possibility depending on Barkley's market, and he should have robust suitors of teams vying for his talents. He's an RB1 wherever he goes.

New York Giants impending free-agent RB Saquon Barkley has been talking with the Giants this offseason about a new contract, but the Giants have not offered a contract at this point and the two sides have not discussed salary, according to sources.
Huddle Up: It seems like Barkley will be testing the free-agent market this offseason after the Giants decided not to place the franchise tag on him. Barkley will be the starting back wherever he signs and probably will be a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues.

New York Giants impending free-agent RB Saquon Barkley will not receive the franchise tag.
Huddle Up: Barkley would be the best RB option on the open market, but his fantasy stock remains as an upper RB1 wherever he goes.

New England Patriots WR DeVante Parker is expected to be on the trade block this offseason. He did not receive any trade interest at the trade deadline.
Huddle Up: Parker has not posted great numbers over the last several seasons and probably will be avoided in most fantasy leagues next season no matter where he plays.

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley, a pending free agent, is the most likely running back candidate to earn an average annual value of at least $10 million on his next deal, according to sources Sunday, March 3.
Huddle Up: Barkley seems primed to hit the market and wherever he goes, he should be viewed as an RB1 with high upside.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett had a "great" meeting with new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith in South Florida and could get another shot at starting, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Sunday, March 3. "I'm told new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith recently spent time with Pickett in South Florida and that the two had a "great" meeting," Fowler said. "The sentiment among many here in Indy -- including some with the team -- was that Pickett could get another chance after a disastrous 2023 season due in part to the offense's overall struggles under then-OC Matt Canada."
Huddle Up: Pickett may get another shot at earning the starting job, but he should be avoided regardless of format.

New York Giants impending free-agent RB Saquon Barkley views the Houston Texans as his top destination in free agency, per sources on Thursday, Feb. 29.
Huddle Up: Playing with standout QB C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans would be a perfect fit for Barkley and would be a massive upgrade for Houston's rushing attack. No matter where he lands, Barkley should be viewed as a RB1 going into 2024.

New York Giants impending free-agent RB Saquon Barkley's representatives met with the Giants Wednesday, Feb. 28, to discuss his contract situation and the meeting was positive, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Barkley is not expected to receive the franchise tag, so the Giants about two weeks before he can talk to other teams. He should be a starter no matter where he signs this offseason and will be a weekly starting option in fantasy leagues.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett will face competition for the starting quarterback next season, but general manager Omar Khan said he has full faith in Pickett.
Huddle Up: The Steelers likely will be adding a veteran quarterback this season, so Pickett is not a lock to start in 2024. Fantasy players probably should avoid all of the Steelers quarterbacks next season.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has 28 rushing touchdowns over the last two seasons, and 17 of them came from 1-yard out. Executive of football operations Troy Vincent said there is no support to ban the quarterback sneak, commonly known as the "tush push", and he believes you shouldn't punish a team that strategically does it well.
Huddle Up: This bit of news is great news for Hurts' fantasy value. He was the QB2 in what could be considered a down year last year. He'll remain a top-three option in drafts this year.

Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown said he hopes to be playing for the Eagles next season.
Huddle Up: Brown appeared to have some disagreements with people during the season but probably will not be traded or released this offseason. He is one of the better receivers in the NFL when healthy and should be a weekly starting option in fantasy leagues in 2024.

Updating previous reports, New York Giants impending free-agent RB Saquon Barkley is unlikely to receive the franchise tag in 2024. The tag would be worth around $12.1 million.
Huddle Up: Barkley was the RB13 in PPR leagues in 14 games last season. This is another year he failed to live up to his draft status, and that's the risk you take when selecting the supremely talented back among the top five at the position.

New York Giants impending free-agent RB Saquon Barkley is expected to be a candidate for the franchise tag this offseason.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see if Barkley will be playing for the Giants or another team in 2024. He should be a starting back for a team next season and likely will be a weekly starting option in leagues.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett is returning to his starting role, but there will be competition in 2024, according to head coach Mike Tomlin on Thursday, Jan. 18.
Huddle Up: Pickett averaged just 9.2 fantasy points per game before an injury led to his benching. He's a back-end QB2 option if he wins the starting role, but his value is trending in the wrong direction.

Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (ankle) fully participated in practice and carries no designation on the Wild Card injury report Saturday, Jan. 13.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (finger) fully participated in practice and carries no designation on the Wild Card injury report Saturday, Jan. 13.

Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown (knee) did not practice and was ruled out on the Wild Card injury report Saturday, Jan. 13.
Huddle Up: Brown wasn't expected to play in this playoff game, and this just makes it official. Expect DeVonta Smith to see a high target share, along with Dallas Goedert.

Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown (knee) will be ruled out for the wild-card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per sources on Saturday, Jan. 13.
Huddle Up: The report indicated that Brown has made progress and will have a good chance to play if the Eagles advance. His absence paves the way for WR DeVonta Smith to be a strong option and borderline WR1, and TE Dallas Goedert figures to get a bump with Brown out, also.

Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 12.
Huddle Up: Smith is on track to return to the lineup this week and may be the main receiver in the passing game depending on A.J. Brown's status. He should see a good amount of targets regardless and can be a starting option in all leagues.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (finger) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 12.
Huddle Up: Hurts should be on the field for the Wild Card playoff game, but it is not known if the finger injury will affect his ability to throw at all. He should still be a starting option in all fantasy leagues this week.
