Kansas City Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney is "probably our most talented wideout now," according to general manager Brett Veach. "He is probably our most talented wideout now. It doesn't do anyone any good unless you stay healthy. But the kid has always worked hard here for us and I know he's been down there with (Patrick Mahomes) and I think it's a matter of him staying healthy and I think if he can do that, he can really do a lot of great things in this offense. People around the building like him and it's the injury bug and hopefully he gets some luck on his side and he can stay healthy and be the player that he was in Florida and the player that we've seen in spurts here," Veach said.
Huddle Up: Veach's comments suggest the team is expecting a lengthy suspension for Rashee Rice. Toney's talent has never really been in question. On the other hand, durability has consistently been in question. Dynasty managers are encouraged to continue holding if possible, but that could change in less than a week if the Chiefs select a quality receiver or two in the draft.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney has been among a group of players working out in Texas with Patrick Mahomes recently and is still someone the team is hoping to see fulfill his potential, according to comments made by head coach Andy Reid on Monday, April 15. "Kadarius is arguably one of the most talented guys we have on the team. It's just a matter of being healthy and being able to stay on the field and you always hear about the reliability, accountability, all those things that go into it. And so I'm expecting him to come back ripping and ready to go. It's great that he's down there working with Pat and putting the work in. So that's a position. Listen, we like Kadarius. It's just a matter of having him on the field," Reid said.
Huddle Up: Toney is probably in his last year with the Chiefs, as his fifth-year option (worth $14.435 million) will not get picked up by the team before the early May deadline. He is set to make $2.53 million in 2024, which is a palatable number for a player who has as much upside as Toney. The former first-round pick desperately needs to stay healthy in camp and throughout the 2024 season if he has any hopes of becoming the player so many hoped he would become.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice surrendered to Glenn Heights Police in Dallas and posted $40,000 bond Thursday, April 11. Rice faces eight charges in the case - six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and one count of aggravated assault, according to the warrant. All of the charges are felonies.
Huddle Up: Rice had a productive rookie season with a 79-938-7 line and now has this cloud hovering over his sophomore campaign. He will slip in fantasy drafts but will likely remain in the WR3 discussion despite the possibility of missing games.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (ankle, toe) is expected to participate in the team's walk-through but will not practice for a second straight day on Thursday, Jan. 25.
Huddle Up: Pacheco has already stated he intends to play on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, so this is a matter of the team giving a player as much time as possible to rest and rehab. The second-year back is critical to the team's chances of upsetting Baltimore, but it might be wise to lower his DFS ownership a bit this weekend since he is at a slightly higher risk of suffering an in-game setback.
