New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas is expected to be released ahead of the start of free agency, according to sources Thursday, March 7.
Huddle Up: The oft-injured Thomas hasn't surpassed 448 receiving yards in a season since 2019. His landing spot will be mildly interesting, but he's a high-risk WR4/5 type as he enters his age-31 season.

New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr restructured his contract Friday, Feb. 23, to create around $23 million in salary cap space.
Huddle Up: Carr's tumultuous season earned him a QB16 rating in 17 games. If they can add some weapons around him in the offseason, he could fare better in 2024.

New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr is expected to have his contract restructured, which would likely keep him with the team for another two seasons, per source on Friday, Feb. 2.
Huddle Up: Carr had an up-and-down first season with the Saints, with the veteran signal-caller having more downs than ups. The fact that he'll be staying with the Saints for two more years isn't great news for the team's pass-catchers, assuming he can't rebound moving forward. Despite his struggles, Carr still managed to finish as QB16 overall in 2023. He'll be on the QB2 radar in 2024.

New Orleans Saints WR Rashid Shaheed was the only player in the NFC to finish 2023 with more than 300 punt return yards and 300-plus kick return yards, and he ranked third in the NFL with 13.6 yards per punt return.
Huddle Up: In addition to his special teams prowess, Shaheed provided some explosive plays in the passing game. He finished the year with 719 receiving yards and five touchdowns while averaging 15.6 yards per catch. In leagues that award points for return yards, Shaheed could be a sneaky weapon.

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) will not play in Week 18's game against the Atlanta Falcons, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Kamara had been listed as questionable on the injury report despite not practicing at all during the week. RB Jamaal Williams should see a decent number of carries in Kamara's absence and can be viewed as a touchdown-dependent flex option in fantasy leagues.

New Orleans Saints TE Juwan Johnson (chest) will play in Week 18's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Huddle Up: Johnson had been listed as questionable on the injury report after logging two limited practice sessions during the week. He has been a dependable target for QB Derek Carr in recent weeks and can be viewed as a low-end TE1 option in some fantasy leagues.

New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 18.
Huddle Up: Olave should continue to be the main option in the passing game for the Saints this week and can be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

New Orleans Saints TE Juwan Johnson (chest) was limited during practice Friday, Jan. 5, and is listed as questionable for Week 18.
Huddle Up: Johnson seems to have a decent chance to play in the regular season finale and has been a reliable target for Derek Carr over the last few weeks. He could be a low-end No. 1 tight end in some leagues if active.

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 5, and is listed as questionable for Week 18.
Huddle Up: Kamara will be a game-time decision, so fantasy players will need to check the inactive list for his official status. He is a starting option in all leagues when healthy, but fantasy players should have other options ready in case he sits out.

New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave (ankle) was limited in practice once again on Thursday, Jan. 4.
Huddle Up: Olave didn't log a single full practice last week before suiting up, so there's no concern here. He remains a WR2 entering the final week of the regular season.

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) did not take part in practice for the second consecutive day on Thursday, Jan. 4.
Huddle Up: Two straight missed practices is a bad sign for Kamara's chances of playing. He's a borderline RB1 if he plays, but Jamaal Williams will become a touchdown-dependent flex play if Kamara doesn't suit up.

New Orleans Saints TE Juwan Johnson (chest) was limited in practice on Thursday, Jan. 4, after not taking part the day before.
Huddle Up: It only took all season, but Johnson has been good the last three weeks, ranking as TE2 overall in that span. He's a solid TE2 and starting option in Week 18.

New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 3.
Huddle Up: Olave is still working his way back from an ankle injury but should be in the lineup for the regular season finale. He is the main option in the passing game and should be a starting option in all leagues.

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 3.
Huddle Up: Kamara is considered day-to-day because of the injury, so fantasy players will need to wait to find out his status for Week 18. He is a weekly starting option in all leagues when healthy, but players will need other options available in case he sits out.

New Orleans Saints TE Juwan Johnson (chest) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 3.
Huddle Up: Johnson left the Week 17 game because of an injury, so fantasy players will need to monitor his status during the week. He has caught a touchdown in each of the last three games and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end if active for the game.

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) is considered day-to-day because of the ankle injury he suffered during the Week 17 game, according to a source. He has a chance to play in the Week 18 game.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation during the week to see if Kamara will be available for Week 18. He has struggled over the last few games but can still be a starting option in leagues if active.

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) is dealing with an ankle sprain, and the team is waiting to see how he responds throughout the week, according to sources Monday, Jan. 1.
Huddle Up: Kamara exited the Week 17 game and didn't return due to the injury. If he can't play in the finale, Jamaal Williams should be expected to take most of the backfield work, making him a flex option.

Updating a previous report, New Orleans Saints TE Juwan Johnson (shoulder) returned to the Week 17 game after missing some time because of a shoulder injury.
Huddle Up: Johnson has been productive during the Week 17 but is only a No. 2 tight end in most fantasy leagues.

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (illness) is officially active for the Week 17 game.
Huddle Up: Kamara should receive his normal workload this week despite the illness and likely will be involved in both the running and passing game. He should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 29, and is not on the injury report for Week 17.

Updating a previous report, New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (illness) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 29, and is listed as questionable for Week 17.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to keep an eye on the situation to see if Kamara will be able to play this week. He is a big part of the Saints offense when healthy and should be a starting option in all leagues if active.

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (illness) did not practice due to an illness on Friday, Dec. 29.
Huddle Up: NFL players rarely miss games due to illness, so expect Kamara to get hit with nothing worse than a questionable tag on the final injury report and handle his usual 15 or so touches against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Consider him a low-end RB1 for that matchup.

New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave (ankle) was limited in practice for the second straight day on Thursday, Dec. 28.
Huddle Up: There's been nothing to suggest Olave won't play, but keep an eye on Friday's injury report just in case. The second-year wideout has been on an absolute tear over his last five games after notching 100 yards or a touchdown in each contest. He's a high-end WR2.

New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.
Huddle Up: Olave returned to the lineup last week and posted his fifth 100-yard game of the season. He is the main option in the passing game and should be a starting option in all leagues when healthy.

New Orleans Saints WR Rashid Shaheed had five receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday, Dec. 21. He was targeted nine times.
Huddle Up: Shaheed continues to function as one of the top lottery-ticket plays in all of fantasy football. He has four games on the year with 70 or more yards and a touchdown, and he has eight games of less than 50 yards. High upside, low downside. That makes for a very risky option.

New Orleans Saints RB Jamaal Williams rushed two times for eight yards and added a five-yard reception in a 30-22 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16.
Huddle Up: To go from 1,066 yards and 17 TDs last season to 222 yards and no TDs through 16 weeks has to be one of the biggest, non-injury related statistical regressions in fantasy football history. Anyone that expected the second coming of Mark Ingram has to be left shaking their head.
