New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos, according to sources Monday, April 22. Denver is expected to send a 2024 sixth-round pick to the Jets in exchange for Wilson and a 2024 seventh-round pick. The Jets are expected to pay for some of Wilson's $5.5 million salary.
Huddle Up: Wilson finally gets out of New York and will be joining a Broncos depth chart that currently includes Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci. Regardless, it's unlikely Wilson will have much fantasy relevance in Denver.

The Denver Broncos have been contacted by several NFL teams regarding the availability of WR Courtland Sutton, according to multiple sources. However, they have no plans to trade him, even though he has been skipping voluntary workouts because of his contract situation.
Huddle Up: Sutton is slated to earn a base salary of $13 million for the 2024 season, with $2 million of guaranteed money, and is looking for a contract adjustment based on his role as a team leader amid a period of instability at the quarterback position. Despite the less-than-ideal situation from a fantasy standpoint, he still managed to reach the end zone 10 times last season and can be viewed as a serviceable WR3 in most leagues.

University of Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy is reportedly a player who meets Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton's general requirements for a starting quarterback - outstanding intelligence and the ability to get rid of the ball quickly. According to Sportskeeda's Tony Pauline, there is talk that Payton is ready to give up "a king's ransom" to acquire McCarthy, Louisiana State University QB Jayden Daniels or University of North Carolina QB Drake Maye, with McCarthy being the most realistic option. Furthermore, there is a possibility Payton will be willing to include CB Patrick Surtain II to move up in the draft. Pauline also notes that Denver would consider trading down and taking University of Oregon QB Bo Nix if it cannot move up.
Huddle Up: There is a lot to unpack here, but one would have to believe that Daniels or Maye would have to be the target if Payton is willing to include Surtain in a deal as those two quarterbacks possess a theoretical upside that McCarthy does not. While McCarthy appears to be a better prospect than Nix, the Broncos may be wise to trade down and potentially add some more draft picks after giving up their second-round pick in the Russell Wilson trade in 2022.

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton didn't report to voluntary workouts Monday, April 15, as he seeks a new contract. His deal only guarantees $2 million.
Huddle Up: Sutton was the WR35 with a 59-772-10 season and had just 90 targets last year. He hasn't had a very stable QB situation in his career. He'll be a high-end WR3 in drafts.

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton is not being shopped to other teams at this time.
Huddle Up: The Broncos have moved on from Jerry Jeudy, but it seems like Sutton will continue to be the main receiver for the Broncos. He will see a good amount of targets each game and could be a No. 3 fantasy receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Denver Broncos QB Jarrett Stidham could be the team's starting quarterback in 2024 if they don't trade up to take one in the NFL draft.
Huddle Up: He looked OK in the last two games of the season, but it's unlikely he'll be anything more than a mediocre QB2 option in fantasy.

New York Jets QB Zach Wilson has been given permission to seek a trade, general manager Joe Douglas revealed on Wednesday, Feb. 28.
Huddle Up: After a disastrous first three years in the NFL, the expectation all along has been that Wilson would get traded this offseason. What the Jets get for him remains to be seen, though, as his stock is currently in the toilet. But perhaps there will be a team out there that believes it can fix the former No. 2 overall pick. While it's doubtful that will happen, Wilson now becomes a stash option in dynasty formats just in case a new team does turn him around.

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton is expected back with the team in 2024, Mike Klis of 9News.com wrote on Sunday, Feb. 25.
Huddle Up: Sutton didn't crack 800 yards last year but cashed in with 10 touchdowns to make him a flex option. Looking ahead to 2024, it's going to be tough for Sutton to sustain that kind of scoring output and he might be catching passes from a different quarterback altogether if Denver decides to part with Russell Wilson. Sutton remains in the flex conversation but is on shaky ground.

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton may be asked to restructure his contract this offseason because he is currently scheduled to count $17.4 million against the salary cap in 2024, in the opinion of Denver7 Sports' Troy Renck.
Huddle Up: Sutton has gone four seasons without a 1,000-yard season but will continue to be a starter if he remains with the Broncos. He probably will be rostered in fantasy leagues next season but probably will not be a weekly starting option.

Detroit Lions WR Josh Reynolds (ribs) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 26, and is not on the injury report for the NFC Championship game.
Huddle Up: Reynolds reached the end zone last week and should see a handful of targets during the championship game. He could be a possible flex option in some leagues.

Detroit Lions WR Josh Reynolds (ribs) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 24. The Lions did not hold a practice Wednesday, so this is an estimation.
Huddle Up: Reynolds was able to reach the end zone in the last playoff game and has posted 107 yards in two postseason games. He should see a few targets this week against the San Francisco 49ers and could be a possible flex option in some leagues.

New York Jets QB Zach Wilson is expected to be on the trade block during the offseason.
Huddle Up: It is not known if the Jets will find much interest in Wilson but likely will move on from him in a trade or release. Wilson may have to settle for a backup job next season and can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 18.
Huddle Up: Sutton will return to the lineup after missing the game last week and should see a decent amount of targets against the Las Vegas Raiders. He can be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues.

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (concussion) was a full participant in practice on Thursday, Jan. 4, after being limited the day prior.
Huddle Up: Sutton looks on track to return in Week 18, but it's also possible the Broncos don't play their key players, or at least not for a full complement of snaps. Making him an even more riskier option, Jarrett Stidham will be under center and Sutton hasn't played a single snap with him all season long. Sutton remains on the flex radar but on the lower end of the spectrum.

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (concussion) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 3.
Huddle Up: Sutton should have a good chance to play in the finale if he can pass his concussion tests before the game. He has a big part in the passing game when healthy and can be a starting option in fantasy leagues if active.

New York Jets QB Zach Wilson (concussion) has not been cleared from the concussion protocol and won't play in Week 18, head coach Robert Saleh said on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
Huddle Up: Wilson's third season in the NFL was nothing short of a disaster, from his play on the field to his reported desire to not play after being benched. Wilson desperately needs a change of scenery, and he'll likely get that in 2024. Even still, he doesn't need to be held in dynasty formats.

Denver Broncos QB Jarrett Stidham will start against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 18, the team announced Monday, Jan. 1.
Huddle Up: In his 2023 starting debut, Stidham threw for 224 yards and one touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers. He's a mid-QB2 option for Week 18 but can be avoided in standard leagues.

Denver Broncos WR Marvin Mims (hamstring) is not expected to play in Week 17's game versus the Los Angeles Chargers.
Huddle Up: Mims had been listed as questionable on the injury report after logging a limited practice session Thursday, Dec. 28, and not practicing at all Friday, Dec. 29. Although Mims played well in Week 16, he can probably be avoided in most fantasy leagues this week even if he is declared active.

Denver Broncos WR Marvin Mims (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 29, and is listed as questionable for Week 17.
Huddle Up: Mims was added to the injury report during the week and may be facing an uphill battle to be ready for Week 17. He posted decent numbers in the last game but probably can be avoided in most leagues even if he is active.

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 29, and has been ruled out for Week 17.
Huddle Up: Sutton will need to pass his concussion tests before he can play again, so fantasy players will need to check on him next week. Jerry Jeudy and Marvin Mims are also dealing with injuries, so fantasy players may want to avoid all Broncos receivers this week.

Denver Broncos WR Marvin Mims (hamstring) was limited in practice on Thursday, Dec. 28, after being a full participant the day before.
Huddle Up: Mims has an opportunity for an increased role and dart-throw flex appeal in Week 17 with Courtland Sutton (concussion) looking unlikely to play, but being added to the injury report mid-week is a bad sign for his chances of suiting up. If Sutton and Mims sit, Jerry Jeudy becomes a dart-throw flex option, albeit a very shaky one.

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (concussion) did not take part in practice for the second straight day on Thursday, Dec. 28.
Huddle Up: After exiting last week's game early due to a concussion, Sutton is trending in the wrong direction for Week 17. He's a flex option if he suits up, but if not his absence should provide a boost for both Jerry Jeudy and Marvin Mims Jr. (hamstring), although Mims is dealing with his own injury that leaves his status up in the air. Jeudy is the better option, anyway, between neither is trustworthy.

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (concussion) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.
Huddle Up: Sutton will need to pass his concussion tests before he can play again, so fantasy players will need to check on his status later in the week. He has been playing very well this season and can be a starting option in leagues if he is cleared to play.

New York Jets QB Zach Wilson (concussion) did not participate in practice Monday, Dec. 25. The Jets did not hold a practice Monday, so this is an estimation.
Huddle Up: Wilson needs to pass his concussion tests before he plays, so his status for Week 17 is uncertain. Fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation but should look for other options to use in their lineups.

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (concussion) was unable to return to the Week 16 game against the New England Patriots after suffering a concussion. He went without a reception on just a single target before departing.
Huddle Up: It's uncertain if Sutton will be ready to return in Week 17 against the Los Angeles Chargers. We'll know more once practices resume on Wednesday, and certainly by Friday when the official injury designations come out. If he cannot go, Marvin Mims might see more targets against the Bolts.

New York Jets QB Zach Wilson (concussion) was ruled out Friday, Dec. 22, for the Week 16 matchup against the Washington Commanders.

New York Jets QB Zach Wilson (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol Wednesday, Dec. 20.
