Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels was activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Aug. 13.
Huddle Up: Samuels will be competing for the No. 2 running back job and should see a handful of touches each game if he wins the job. He could be a handcuff to James Conner or a late round pick in deeper fantasy leagues.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Sunday, Aug. 2.
Huddle Up: Samuels will be sidelined for an undisclosed amount of time, so fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation. Samuels likely will see a handful of touches each game as long as James Conner can stay healthy. Samuels can be a handcuff to Conner in fantasy leagues or a late round pick for depth at the position.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels isn't in 'the category of a lock' to make the 53-man roster, according to Bob Labriola of Steelers.com.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels (groin) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 13, and is not on the injury report for Week 15.
Huddle Up: Samuels likely will see a handful of touches this week but may be more involved in the passing game. He could be a flex option in some point-per-reception leagues but is not a must-start option.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels (groin) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 12.
Huddle Up: Samuels likely will have a role in the running and passing game but may only see a handful of touches. He can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels (groin) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 11.
Huddle Up: Samuels' status for Week 15 is uncertain, so fantasy players should keep an eye on the situation. James Conner is expected to return to the lineup this week, so Samuels can be avoided in fantasy leagues even if he is able to play.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels (groin) suffered a groin injury in Week 14, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.
Huddle Up: Samuels only had nine touches, and James Conner (shoulder) is on the mend. The entire backfield will need monitoring, and Benny Snell could wind up being an RB2 against the Buffalo Bills in Week 15.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels rushed seven times for 32 yards in Week 13 against the Cleveland Browns while adding two grabs for 22 yards on his two targets.
Huddle Up: Samuels helped fill the void with Benny Snell Jr., as James Conner was sidelined for a second straight game. He was used a few teams in Wildcat formation looks. He is only worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues heading into Week 14 at Arizona if Conner is sidelined again.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels ran twice for six yards and caught three passes for 26 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Nov. 24.
Huddle Up: It was widely assumed that Samuels would be the primary back with James Conner out, but Benny Snell filled that role, leaving Samuels with fewer touches than Kerrith Whyte. That's not encouraging for Samuels, who suddenly appears bereft of fantasy value.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels carried the ball five times for 26 yards and added five receptions for 19 yards and a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, Nov. 14.
Huddle Up: While Samuels' 45 total yards won't impress, the reality is it may be a while before we see James Conner again after he had to be removed with more shoulder trouble. In that scenario, Samuels, and to a lesser extent Trey Edmunds, would take over in the backfield. Of the two, Samuels should be the one to own going forward, though clearly Conner's status will be the deciding factor.
