Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels ran only two times for two yards but caught seven of his eight targets for 40 yards in Week 17 versus the Cincinnati Bengals.
Huddle Up: Samuels played more of a specialist role in the season finale with James Conner returning from a three-week absence, but his performance could be a preview of things to come in 2019. The rookie not only justify Pittsburgh's faith in him as a mismatch weapon in the passing game, but he also proved to be a capable rusher in Conner's absence. As a result, Samuels enters 2019 as one of the best handcuffs in fantasy football.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels rushed 12 times for 53 yards in Week 16 against the New Orleans Saints and he added three grabs for 11 yards and a touchdown.
Huddle Up: Samuels has looked like a legit NFL back, and he is likely to pair with James Conner in 2019 to form one of the better tandems in the league. The Steelers have had some problems this season, but offense isn't really one of them.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels rushed 19 times for a career-high 142 yards in Week 15 against the New England Patriots and he added two catches for 30 yards.
Huddle Up: Samuels did a great job in place of the injured James Conner (ankle), as the former standout at N.C. State put on a show. If Conner is forced to miss more time, Samuels could shine in Week 16 in New Orleans on the fast track.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels rushed 11 times for 28 yards and caught seven passes for 64 yards in a 24-21 loss to the Oakland Raiders in Week 14.
Huddle Up: Samuels was unable to find much room on the ground, but his receiving skills paid dividends. If James Conner can't return in Week 15, Samuels can be a decent flex play, especially in PPR formats.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels is the front-runner to start in Week 14 after it was announced Tuesday, Dec. 4, that starting RB James Conner (ankle) will be sidelined with an ankle sprain. RBs Stevan Ridley and Trey Edmunds figure to be the backups.
Huddle Up: Samuels is a converted tight end who filled in after Conner went down late in Week 13, rushing two times for five yards and catching all three of his targets for 20 yards and a TD. Ridley has more rushing attempts (18) and yards (56) than Samuels (12- 31) on the season and also likely will be involved, but Samuels will be the Pittsburgh back fantasy general managers should target.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels has been doing all the things RB Le'Veon Bell normally does for the offense during practice. 'He's a hybrid guy who can move around and do some things,' wide receivers coach Darryl Drake said. 'I like his skill set.'
Huddle Up: Bell is the workhorse in the offense as long as he remains in Pittsburgh, but he is still waiting on a long-term deal. Samuels can be ignored in redraft leagues, but he could be worth stashing in dynasty formats.

The Pittsburgh Steelers selected North Carolina State RB/TE Jaylen Samuels with the 165th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft Saturday, April 28.
Huddle Up: Samuels can be used at multiple positions, so owners will need to monitor the situation to see where he plays. He could have some fantasy value if he lines up at tight end, but owners in most standard leagues can avoid Samuels.
