Philadelphia Eagles QB Josh McCown (hamstring) played the second half of the NFC wild-card game Sunday, Jan. 5, with a torn hamstring and is scheduled to undergo surgery Tuesday, Jan. 14.
Huddle Up: Shines a better light on the 40-year-old's 18-of-24, 174-yard day with 23 rushing yards on five carries, but expect Philly to have a new No. 2 QB next season, especially given starter Carson Wentz's injury track record.

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (head) will not return to the NFC Wild Card Game against the Seattle Seahawks after leaving due to a head injury in the first half, head coach Doug Pederson confirmed at halftime. QB Josh McCown will take the reins the rest of the way.
Huddle Up: There will be a lot of uncertainty if the Eagles are able to advance to face the Green Bay Packers. If Wentz is unavailable, it would be McCown called upon to continue leading the team.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (ribs) left the Week 2 game against the Atlanta Falcons due to an apparent rib injury. He took a shot to the mid-section from the helmet of a defender. Initially he stayed in the game, but then he left for the medical tent late in the second quarter, replaced by QB Josh McCown.
Huddle Up: It has been an odyssey for the Eagles in the first half, as Alshon Jeffrey is on the sidelines, Desean Jackson has been in and out and now their field general is sidelined. Center Jason Kelce even left the game briefly. More on Wentz when we know it.
