Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones acknowledged he overpaid in signing CB Brandon Carr. 'We know we overpaid to get Carr,' Jones said. 'Not overpay - we paid retail.'
Huddle Up: Carr got the same deal (five years, $50.1m) that Cortland Finnegan got in St. Louis. Most experts agree that Carr is a straight baller. Carr will start across from Mike Jenkins and hopefully improve the league's 23rd ranked pass defense from last year.

The Dallas Cowboys signed CB Brandon Carr (Chiefs) to a five-year, $50.1 million deal, with a $10 million signing bonus and a total of $26.5 million guaranteed.
Huddle Up: Carr is regarded as a shutdown corner and is now paid like one. Dallas won't have to pick a cornerback with the 14th overall pick now.
