New York Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul has impressed as being 'big and fast and explosive,' according to general manager Jerry Reese. Head coach Ben McAdoo said he has to tone down Pierre-Paul because he is 'going so hard out there,' according to Reese. The Giants general manager added, 'He looks like the old JPP.'
Huddle Up: The once-dominant defensive end may never truly be himself from a fantasy perspective, but his elite raw talent allows him to resemble a strong starting contributor most weeks. He's a second defensive linemen in most setups.

New York Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul (finger, hand) will likely receive a roster exemption so that he begin practicing with the team this week. The Giants are comfortable with where Pierre-Paul is at physically after putting him through a physical this week. A roster exemption would last for a maximum of two weeks and would allow him to get back into 'football shape.' His new one-year deal is expected to be prorated and heavy on incentives.
Huddle Up: All signs point towards a JPP return in Week 10, at which point the Giants' defense might not be such a fantasy pushover so plan accordingly.

New York Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul's (hand) recovery from his fireworks accident is going slowly, and he still does not plan to report to the team until he is close to playing, according to a source. Pierre-Paul could have the bandages on his hand removed soon, but it is not known how much he will be able to use his hand.
Huddle Up: Anyone who saw the photos of JPP's heavily-bandaged hand a few weeks ago understands why and realizes there are serious questions about the DE's football future -- both immediate and long-term.
