Cincinnati Bengals DT Geno Atkins (knee) will participate in practice Wednesday, July 30.
Huddle Up: Good to see the big fella back in action after he was activated from the PUP list earlier Wednesday. Atkins leads all NFL DTs with 29 sacks over the past 4 seasons.

The Cincinnati Bengals remain hopeful DT Geno Atkins (knee) will be ready for the start of the regular season, but there is plenty of uncertainty. He is making his way back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. If he is unable to start the season, DTs Devon Still and Brandon Thompson are candidates to start at nose tackle to begin the year.
Huddle Up: Temper your optimism for the availability of one of the game's top defensive tackles, with obvious repercussions in IDP and team defense fantasy leagues. Plenty of time for Atkins to get back on the field, however, before real concern starts to set in

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals DT Geno Atkins (knee) suffered a right knee injury during the second quarter of his team's Week 9 game Thursday, Oct. 31. After the contest, NFL Network was reporting that Atkins suffered a torn ACL.
Huddle Up: Cincy already has lost top CB Leon Hall for the season, and this would be an even more crushing blow as the All-Pro Atkins leads the team with 6 sacks.

The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to look to sign DT Geno Atkins to a contract extension at some point this offseason.
Huddle Up: Pass-rushing, play-making defensive tackles aren't easy to come by in the NFL, and the Bengals would be wise to lock up Atkins, who leads all DTs with 23 sacks over the past 3 seasons.
