Green Bay Packers TE Jace Sternberger is looking forward to the opportunity to play a larger role within the offense in 2020 after Jimmy Graham signed with the Chicago Bears in free agency. 'That's one thing that we've all discussed, that I will have the opportunity for my role to be bigger,' Sternberger said. 'It's all how I handle it and what I can prove. It goes back to me and this opportunity. I'm just really excited about it, and I'm just definitely ready for it.'
Huddle Up: Sternberger didn't catch a pass until the playoffs as a rookie last season. His lone touchdown came in the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers. The Packers are in desperate need of other pass-catchers to step up behind No. 1 WR Davante Adams, so Sternberger could be worth a late-round flier at the thin tight end position.

Green Bay Packers TE Jace Sternberger has 'dynamic ability in the passing game,' according to general manager Robert Gutekunst, and Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com expects Sternberger to be given a shot to be the No. 1 tight end in 2020.
Huddle Up: Injuries ruined most of Sternberger's rookie year, but with Jimmy Graham out of the picture, he appears to be the next man up. If he can earn the trust of Aaron Rodgers, he could be a TE1 as soon as 2020.

Green Bay Packers TE Jace Sternberger impressed general manager Brian Gutekunst with his progress after he returned from the Reserve/Injured list late in the season. 'He can be one of those, as he develops, who can play from a lot of different places and be a matchup problem,' Gutekunst said Friday, Jan. 24.
Huddle Up: Sternberger, a third-round rookie, fell way behind by missing the first half of the season with an ankle injury, but he did catch a TD pass in the NFC Championship Game after failing to log a catch in the regular season. He could be a repeat member on preseason fantasy sleeper lists this summer, especially if the Packers part ways with veteran TE Jimmy Graham.
