Dallas Cowboys WR Deonte Thompson (Achilles') was held out of practice Saturday, Aug. 4, due to a strained left Achilles' injury.
Huddle Up: A video of Thompson was posted on social media with the receiver on a scooter at the team's facility with what appeared to be his left foot taped or bandaged. It doesn't look to be a serious injury. Thompson could potentially see a big role, especially in three-receiver sets, as the team has a bunch of wideouts jockeying for jobs. Only Cole Beasley and Terrance Williams are established in the system, while a bunch of newcomers like Thompson, Allen Hurns and Tavon Austin look to grab a piece of the pie. Thompson is only worth a late-round flier in deeper fantasy leagues at this point, but watch the preseason games closely for developments.

Buffalo Bills WR Deonte Thompson caught two passes for 23 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Wild Card playoff game Sunday, Jan. 7.
Huddle Up: Thompson played well at times during the second half of the season and could have a solid role in the passing game next season. He could be a late-round pick in deeper leagues next season depending on his role.

Huddle Up: Thompson should be able to play despite the injury and will have a role in the passing game. He has been fairly quiet for most of the season and can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

Buffalo Bills WR Deonte Thompson (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 4.
Huddle Up: Thompson probably will serve as the No. 2 or No. 3 receiver for the Bills in the Wild Card game. He will be facing a terrific Jacksonville Jaguars defense and probably can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

Buffalo Bills WR Deonte Thompson (shoulder) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 3.
Huddle Up: Thompson was able to play in Week 17, so he does not appear to be in danger of missing the Wild Card playoff game. He has been held to under 40 yards receiving in seven of the last eight games and should be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills WR Deonte Thompson (back, shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 29, and is listed as questionable for Week 17.
Huddle Up: Thompson is expected to be a game-time decision for Week 17, so owners will need to check the inactive list for his status. He has posted decent numbers over the last few weeks but probably can be avoided in most leagues because of his uncertain status.

Buffalo Bills WR Deonte Thompson (back, shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 28.
Huddle Up: Thomas was a full participant Wednesday, Dec. 27, so it is not known if he suffered a setback. Owners may want to consider other options for their lineups because of Thompson's uncertain status.

Buffalo Bills WR Deonte Thompson (back) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.
Huddle Up: Thompson is coming off a Week 16 performance where he finished with 91 yards on four catches. He has only been targeted 10 times over the last three games but may have a solid role in the passing game against the Miami Dolphins. Owners in deeper leagues could consider Thompson as a flex option.

Buffalo Bills WR Deonte Thompson finished with four receptions for a game-high 91 yards on five targets in Week 16 against the New England Patriots.
Huddle Up: Thompson showed some flashes of brilliance at times, but he was not nearly consistent enough to use in most fantasy formats. He entered Sunday's game with just nine grabs for 123 yards over the past six games since his 81-yard performance with a score on Nov. 2 against the New York Jets.

Buffalo Bills WRs Deonte Thompson and Zay Jones will split playing time moving forward, according to offensive coordinator Rick Dennison. Thompson started opposite WR Kelvin Benjamin in Week 14 and played 84% of snaps compared to 61% for Jones.
Huddle Up: Both Thomposon and Jones could see plenty of snaps over the final three games with Benjamin nursing a knee injury. Truth be told, none of Buffalo's wide receivers are viable starters in the fantasy playoffs, especially with Nathan Peterman starting.
