Updating a previous report, impending free-agent TE Gerald Everett (Chargers) reportedly agreed to terms on a two-year contract worth $12 million with the Chicago Bears on Tuesday, March 12. The deal could be worth up to $14 million including incentives and includes $6.1 million fully guaranteed.
Huddle Up: Everett's money is not exactly chump change, which means he figures to see plenty of playing time. That means Cole Kmet's fantasy value will take a hit even if new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron utilizes a lot of 12 personnel looks. Both tight ends could fall into the TE2 range if Chicago ends up adding a quality receiver in the first or second round of the draft. For now, consider Kmet a low-end TE1 and Everett a decent TE2 in fantasy.

Impending free-agent TE Gerald Everett (Chargers) reportedly agreed to terms on a contract with the Chicago Bears on Tuesday, March 12. Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
Huddle Up: The deal figures to be on the team-friendly side since Chicago just did a four-year extension worth $50 million with Cole Kmet last summer. The Seattle Seahawks always seemed to load up on tight ends under offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, so it is possible he is asking for the same now that he is in Chicago. Perhaps this move is more about adding quality depth and nothing more. Either way, Everett's addition figures to hurt Kmet's fantasy value at least a little bit. Perhaps Kmet becomes more of a low-end fantasy TE1 now instead of a mid-tier TE1.

Los Angeles Chargers TE Gerald Everett (hip) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 13, and is not on the injury report for Week 15. The Chargers did not hold a practice Wednesday, so his practice participation is an estimation.
Huddle Up: Everett may see more targets this week since Easton Stick will be the starting quarterback and Keenan Allen has been ruled out. He can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues this week.

Los Angeles Chargers TE Gerald Everett (hip) was limited at practice for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, Dec. 12. The practice report was an estimate after the Chargers only conducted a walkthrough.
Huddle Up: Everett has had three of his best games of the season the last three weeks, ranking as TE9 overall in that span. But there's concern this week with all Chargers pass-catchers after Justin Herbert (finger) was ruled out for the season, which forces Easton Stick into the lineup. Consider Everett a shaky TE2 play in Week 15.

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen (heel) and DB Deane Leonard (ankle, heel) did not practice on Tuesday, Dec. 12. TE Gerald Everett (hip), OG Zion Johnson (ankle), DL Sebastian Joseph-Day (ankle), LB Amen Ogbongbemiga (hamstring), DL Otito Ogbonnia (knee), TE Donald Parham (shoulder) and DL Nick Williams (shoulder) were limited. LB Justin Hollins (knee), LB Kenneth Murray (shoulder) and WR Joshua Palmer (knee) practiced in full. The Chargers held a walk-through on Tuesday, so the report is an estimation.
