Houston Texans WR Nico Collins (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 16, and has been ruled out of the Divisional Round playoff game.
Huddle Up: Christian Kirk, Jaylen Higgins and Xavier Hutchinson will likely be the main receivers with Collins unavailable. Kirk is coming off a terrific performance in the Wild Card game and will be a starting option in fantasy leagues. Higgins can also be a starting option in leagues, while Hutchinson can be a possible flex option.

Houston Texans WR Nico Collins (concussion) did not participate in practice Thursday, Jan. 15.
Huddle Up: Collins has missed the first two practices of the week and will need to pass his concussion tests before he is cleared to play, so fantasy players should consider him questionable at best for now. He is a starting fantasy option when healthy, players will need other options available in case he misses the game.

Houston Texans WR Nico Collins (concussion) was not seen at practice on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Huddle Up: Collins is the top receiving target in the Texans' offense and will be called upon the rest of the time he is healthy and the Texans are in the playoffs. For 2026, a healthy Collins can be a WR2 in fantasy lineups.

Houston Texans WR Nico Collins (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol, and it's uncertain if he'll be ready for the AFC divisional round matchup against the New England Patriots. He was carted off Monday, Jan. 12 in the AFC Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, while WR Justin Watson (concussion) also left, and is in the protocol. "We'll take it one day at a time and see how the guys are doing," head coach DeMeco Ryans said Tuesday, Jan. 13. "We'll give the guys their time to rest up and heal properly."
Huddle Up: Collins was carted off, and he was visibly wobbly. The offense will be quite different if Collins, a huge downfield threat, cannot play in Foxboro. Fantasy managers in postseason leagues, and DFS players, need to watch this closely before finalizing lineups for the weekend.

Updating a previous report, Houston Texans WR Nico Collins (concussion) has been downgraded from questionable to out for the remainder of the AFC Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to concussion. He finished the game with three receptions for 21 yards on five targets.
Huddle Up: Collins was dazed after a hit, and he was carted off for evaluation. With Collins sidelined, Christian Kirk has stepped up and filled the void admirably, while Jayden Higgins, Xavier Hutchinson and Jaylin Noel are next men up. If Collins is unable to go in a potential AFC Divisional Round playoff game at New England, Kirk is the best bet for DFS purposes. The tight ends Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover could also see a bump in targets if Collins is unable to go.

Houston Texans WR Nico Collins (concussion) left the AFC Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second half due to a concussion. He needed to be redirected by the training staff to the sidelines, as he was bit confused, per the telecast. He was taken to the blue medical tent before being carted off.
Huddle Up: With Collins out, and perhaps done for the evening, Christian Kirk is likely to be the top target, with Jayden Higgins, Xavier Hutchinson and Jaylin Noel attempting to pick up the slack. Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover could also see a little more work.

Houston Texans WRs Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel are likely to see increased offensive snaps in Week 18's game versus the Indianapolis Colts, as a result of WR Nico Collins (rest) being held out of action, in the opinion of NFL Network's Jane Slater.
Huddle Up: The Texans have already clinched the No. 4 seed in the AFC playoffs as winners of the AFC South, so there is little incentive for Houston to play their starters this afternoon. Higgins and Noel both scored touchdowns against the Chargers in Week 17 and have a favorable matchup against a Colts defense that will be missing CB Sauce Gardner (calf), making them worthy of consideration as potential flex options in deeper fantasy leagues.
