New York Giants QB Russell Wilson is still expected to be the team's Week 1 starter but QB Jaxson Dart has shown a great deal of improvement this offseason, according to head coach Brian Daboll. In the opinion of NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it seems to be a matter of "when, not if" Dart will assume the starting role.
Huddle Up: Wilson should be viewed as a QB2 option in deeper fantasy leagues to begin the year but if Dart assumes the starting quarterback job at some point during the 2025 season, he can also be viewed as a serviceable QB2 option with a greater amount of upside. If you can afford the roster space, Dart should be rostered in all dynasty formats.

New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart has been "excellent" in spring practices, according to head coach Brian Daboll. Per Daboll, Dart has impressed the team with how quickly he has learned and how well he has retained information.
Huddle Up: The Giants have made it clear that Russell Wilson is well-positioned to be the Week 1 starting quarterback, but Dart appears likely to take over the job at some point if/when New York struggles. Dart may not have the elite rushing ability to make him an obvious low-end QB1 when he is named the starter, but he is no slouch in that department either. In the likely event he earns the starting job around midseason, Dart should be a serviceable fantasy QB2 option.

New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart worked with the second-team offense Thursday, June 5, after spending the majority of the time with the third-team previously.
Huddle Up: Dart is a long-term fantasy option and isn't expected to see the field early on unless the team goes into the tank.

New York Giants first-round draft choice Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss) signed his four-year rookie contract worth $16.954 million - including a signing bonus of $8.97 million - on Friday, May 30. The deal also includes a fifth-year team option.
Huddle Up: Dart is expected to begin his rookie year behind Russell Wilson and maybe even Jameis Winston. The Giants would probably like nothing more than to have Dart learn behind the veterans for all of 2025, but the reality of the situation in New York is that head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen's seats are already hot and will likely be even hotter if the Giants struggle against the league's most difficult schedule. Dart should not start this season, but the odds are that he probably will be no later than midseason.

New York Giants first-round draft choice QB Jaxson Dart seems unlikely to make his first start until at least Week 10, according to SNY.tv's Connor Hughes.
Huddle Up: According to Hughes, the Giants genuinely believe Russell Wilson can play well and the only way Dart will see much playing time before Week 10 is if head coach Brian Daboll senses his job is on the line. Week 10 is the earliest that New York should consider Dart moving into the starting lineup, if only because he has some mechanical issues he needs to fix and did not play in an offense that required him to see the entire field very often. While his rushing ability would put him on the fantasy radar right away, it is probably best for his development if he does not play much until 2026.

New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart will likely sit the entire 2025 season "if all goes well," according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com.
Huddle Up: With Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston on the roster, any rookie quarterback that the Giants selected was likely to spend their rookie season learning from the sidelines. There is a chance Dart could see some playing time if the season goes sideways for the Giants, but his value is limited to dynasty formats for the time being.

Mississippi QB Jaxson Dart was selected by the New York Giants with the 25th overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: Dart likely will not see much playing time this season with Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston on the roster, but he is in line to be the team's quarterback of the future. He will not have much value in 2025 but could be an option in keeper leagues.

Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart is reportedly a player whom the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns "both like," according to sources.
Huddle Up: The most likely scenario is that the Giants or Browns trade with the Denver Broncos to move up to No. 20 and grab their preferred option of Dart or Colorado's Shedeur Sanders, which would presumably leave the Pittsburgh Steelers with Sanders if the Giants or Browns want Dart. At this point, Dart seems certain to come off the board within the top 20-25 picks.

Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart is reportedly the draft-eligible quarterback that New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll is most high on after Cam Ward and a player that the team would consider trading back into the first round for, according to a source via Connor Hughes of SNYtv.
