Cleveland Browns QBs Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson will be among those competing to be the team's starting quarterback in 2026, according to GM Andrew Berry on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Huddle Up: New Browns coach Todd Monken did not commit to Sanders, who started the final seven games in 2025, as the starter at his introductory news conference. Berry also previously said that the Browns are expected to search for a quarterback addition this offseason.

Cleveland Browns RB Quinshon Judkins (ankle) will be ready for training camp, according to general manager Andrew Berry.
Huddle Up: Judkins dislocated his ankle in Week 16 of the season. While he may be back, that is a quick turnaround for that type of injury, so fantasy players may have tempered expectations to start the season before he hits full gear later on.

Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry said the team will not rule out drafting a quarterback, saying, "I wouldn't put any restraints on that."
Huddle Up: Shedeur Sanders became the team's starter in the middle of the last season. While he admits it is not off the table, it seems Sanders shareholders need not panic yet.

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins posted the lowest yards per attempt (3.6) among all running backs with at least 200 rushing attempts in the 2025 NFL season, according to Sports Info Solutions.
Huddle Up: The first six NFL games for Judkins up to Week 7 were very solid, as he scored five touchdowns and posted 4.3 yards per rush attempt. After that point until his season-ending leg injury in Week 16, Judkins averaged just 3.0 YPA and scored just two rushing touchdowns as the offense cratered with the quarterback combination of Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. Whether Judkins will be healthy in Week 1 of 2026 remains to be seen, but it doesn't help matters when all five of the team's starting offensive linemen are set to hit free agency. A healthy Judkins will see the bulk of the volume, but the efficiency with that volume is a work in progress. He should be drafted in all formats as a low-end RB2 or high-end RB3 because of his youth and opportunity, but note that there is plenty of downside thanks to the Browns' offensive environment.

Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson (Achilles) started working out earlier this week and was scheduled to start throwing Wednesday, Feb. 11, according to a source. He has been medically cleared and is not expected to be limited during his workouts.
Huddle Up: The Browns quarterback situation is uncertain for 2026, so fantasy players should monitor the situation to see if Watson has a chance at the starting job in 2026. He was not playing well before his injuries and will be only be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback if he starts.

Cleveland Browns impending free-agent TE David Njoku has indicated that he does not plan to re-sign with the Browns this offseason.
Huddle Up: Njoku fell behind Harold Fannin Jr. on the depth chart this season and will likely look for a starting job in free agency. He has played well in the past and could be a low-end No. 1 tight end in some leagues depending on his situation.

Cleveland Browns head coach was asked if QB Shedeur Sanders would be QB1 for the team in 2026, and he said that it is to be determined. He added he "absolutely" can earn the job, though.
Huddle Up: Sanders will likely be in the driver's seat for the Browns QB1 job during training camp. He is going to have to prove himself to a new coaching staff, and if he does, he can be a QB2 in two-quarterback leagues in 2026.

Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson is expected to be on the 2026 roster at this point, but general manager Andrew Berry said the team will not need to make a final decision for a while.
Huddle Up: Watson missed the entire season because of his Achilles injury, so fantasy players should monitor the situation this offseason to see if he receives the chance to compete for the starting job. He was not posting great numbers before the injury and would only be a low-end No. 2 quarterback if he starts.

Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders made solid improvements this season but is still a work in progress, according to general manager Andrew Berry. Berry said he is not sure if the starting quarterback for next season is currently on the roster.
Huddle Up: The Browns will likely look to add a quarterback in either free agency or the NFL Draft, so Sanders will have competition for the starting job next season. He will be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in 2026 if he earns the starting job.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku told reporters following the team's Week 18 win against the Cincinnati Bengals that he would like to remain with the team even as he is set to become a free agent this offseason.
Huddle Up: Njoku is one of the longest-tenured players on the team, so kudos to him for wanting to stay where it all started for him and help the team become a winner. Logically, however, it doesn't make a lot of sense for him to do so. First and foremost, Harold Fannin Jr. took over as the team's primary weapon in the passing game around midseason. Perhaps just as importantly, there are at least 10 teams where he would serve as a huge upgrade, so he should have a nice market. Last but not least, Cleveland's late-season surge means it will be selecting at No. 6 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft, which might be too low to grab a blue-chip quarterback in what is shaping up to be a weak draft overall.

Cleveland Browns WR Jerry Jeudy ended up with two receptions for 17 yards on six targets in Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals, while going for a 5-yard run on his only attempt.
Huddle Up: Jeudy had a very trying season working with the turnstile at quarterback, as Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders all worked under center. Jeudy showed WR1 fantasy ability working with a stable QB in 2024, but things fell apart in 2025. He has some upside, and could re-emerge as a strong fantasy value in the late rounds on draft day if Cleveland can get an NFL-caliber signal caller under center for the long haul.

Cleveland Browns RB Raheim Sanders rushed five times for 26 yards in Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals, while posting a 7-yard reception on his lone target.
Huddle Up: Sanders could see some valuable touches in 2026 with the current assortment of personnel, as Quinshon Judkins is unlikely to be ready for the start of the new season after suffering a gruesome injury in December. The team could bring in a veteran, or draft some help at the position, but if not, Sanders could have a decent role. However, his fantasy appeal remains rather minimal.

Cleveland Browns RB Dylan Sampson rushed 10 times for 32 yards in Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals, while adding two receptions for 12 yards on three targets.
Huddle Up: Sampson has some upside heading into 2026, especially early in the season, as rookie Quinshon Judkins suffered a gruesome injury late in the season, and it's likely he won't ready for the start of the new campaign. As it stands, Sampson would have some fantasy appeal, but it all depends on if the Browns elect to bring in more veteran help or add personnel via the draft.

Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders completed 11-of-22 passes for 111 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals, while running three times for 26 yards with one lost fumble.
Huddle Up: Sanders got a long look down the stretch, flashing some glimpses of brilliance at times, while looking like a green rookie at other times. It's uncertain if he did enough to secure the starting job long term. If Kevin Stefanski is relieved of his coaching duties, that could change the direction the team goes at the position, too, so Sanders' outlook for 2026 is rather murky. There are a ton of very good QBs in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Cleveland Browns RB Dylan Sampson (hand) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 2, and is not on the injury report for Week 18.
Huddle Up: Sampson received a majority of the carries last week but did not have much success in the running game. He will probably share playing time with Raheim Sanders again this week but could be a possible flex option in some fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders (back, finger) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 2, and is not on the injury report for Week 18.
Huddle Up: Sanders has thrown two touchdowns and seven interceptions over the last three games and has been held to under 200 passing yards in all three games. He should have a favorable matchup this week but only be a possible option in some two-quarterback leagues.

Cleveland Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. (groin) will not play in Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Huddle Up: Fanin Jr. has emerged as the TE1 in the Browns' offense and one you can plug into your lineups in 2026. He produced all year long for the Browns and should replicate that regardless of who is the quarterback next season.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (personal, knee) will not play in Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Huddle Up: Njoku is set to be a free agent this upcoming offseason and may look to sign elsewhere after the emergence of Harold Fanin Jr. Njoku has some promise as a starting tight end in deeper leagues, but could return to TE1 prominence in the right spot.

Cleveland Browns RB Dylan Sampson (hand) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Jan. 1.
Huddle Up: With Quinshon Judkins injured, Sampson could end the year on a high note when he faces the Cincinnati Bengals. That being said, the rookie hasn't shown enough overall to be more than the backup to Judkins to open 2026.

Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders (back, finger) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Jan. 1.
Huddle Up: It remains to be seen if Sanders will enter 2026 as Cleveland's starter, but he should have a decent opportunity to prove he deserves a shot at the job when he faces a vulnerable Cincinnati defense in the finale.

Cleveland Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. (groin) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 31.
Huddle Up: Fannin has been a popular target for Shedeur Sanders and a TE1 for fantasy owners. Whether or not the rookie is able to play in the finale remains to be seen, but Fannin has established himself as a weekly starter heading into 2026.

Cleveland Browns RB Dylan Sampson (hand) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 31.
Huddle Up: Sampson has become the de facto starter with Quinshon Judkins out with an injury, but he struggled to do much with his touches last week. The Bengals present a friendly matchup in the finale, but Sampson should be considered no more than a low-end flex play.

Cleveland Browns TE Sal Cannella caught two of four targets for 11 yards in a Week 17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Huddle Up: With starter Harold Fannin leaving early with an injury, the rookie Cannella caught his first two passes in his NFL career.

Cleveland Browns WR Cedric Tillman caught one pass for 42 yards in a Week 17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cleveland Browns WR Jerry Jeudy caught five of seven targets for 54 yards in a Week 17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Huddle Up: Jeudy had his most catches since six in Week 10 against the Jets and surpassed 26 yards for just the second time in five games. With subpar quarterback play, Jeudy hasn't come close to his 90-reception, 1,229-yard season in 2024, but if there is an upgrade at QB next season, look for Jeudy to rebound closer to his past performance and be an excellent WR2/3 option.

Cleveland Browns RB Raheim Sanders carried eight times for 21 yards in a Week 17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He caught one pass for 10 yards.
Huddle Up: With Quinshon Judkins out for the rest of the season with a leg injury, Sanders got carries in a third game this season. He had 11 for 42 yards last week against Buffalo. Sanders should remain a backup for the Browns next season and not a factor in fantasy.

Cleveland Browns RB Dylan Sampson carried 11 times for 27 yards in a Week 17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He caught three passes for zero yards.
Huddle Up: With Quinshon Judkins out for the rest of the season with a leg injury, Sampson got his most carries since 12 for 29 yards in the opener. Sampson should remain a backup for the Browns next season and not a factor in fantasy.

Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders completed 17 of 23 passes for 186 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in a Week 17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He ran four times for 20 yards.
Huddle Up: Sanders improved to 2-4 as a starter despite throwing for under 200 yards for a third straight start and for the fourth time in six starts this season. Since 364 yards and three touchdowns against Tennessee, the rookie has thrown two touchdowns against seven interceptions in the last three games. Sanders is getting his opportunity late in the season and has had his ups and downs, but he''s looking like a low-end at-best draft pick should he retain the starting nod in 2026.

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. (groin) aggravated his groin injury in the first half of the Week 17 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he will not return. He had two receptions for 30 yards and a TD on two targets before departing.
Huddle Up: Fannin didn't leave fantasy managers empty-handed. It was risky business starting Fannin, who had a questionable tag, especially on a slippery track in rainy Cleveland. Still, at least he was able to score a TD before departing. We'll update his status for Week 18 as soon as it is known.
