Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 10 of his 26 passes for 72 yards and an interception in a 13-12 preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Friday, Aug. 23.
Huddle Up: It was an ugly offensive performance for both teams, but it is worth noting that while all the pieces are in place for Mayfield to have a big season, he is still unproven compared to some other QB1 options.

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb is expected to see more work catching the football in 2019. 'I think he's going to be special like he was last year,' running backs coach Stump Mitchell said Wednesday, Aug. 21. 'He'll be used a little more in the passing game than he was last year. Nick just continues to improve on the skillset that he has, and I think he has a fantastic skillset.'
Huddle Up: Chubb will be a tremendous RB1 in most fantasy formats, and a bump in catches and receiving yards would boost his value in PPR formats significantly, at least until Kareem Hunt is ready to return midseason from his suspension.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) returned to practice Monday, Aug. 19.
Huddle Up: Njoku is a mid-to-low-end TE1 with considerable upside.

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hip) participated in individual drills Monday, Aug. 19.
Huddle Up: OBJ has plenty of time to be ready for the season and remains an elite WR1 worth snagging in the first round.

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb will not play in the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 17.
Huddle Up: Chubb will be the starting running back this season and should receive a solid amount of touches each week. He can be considered a No. 2 running back in fantasy leagues but could lose some work during the second half of the season when Kareem Hunt rejoins the roster.

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hip) did not participate in practice Thursday, Aug. 15.
Huddle Up: Beckham is not dealing with a serious injury and should be back on the field in the near future. He will be a No. 1 receiver in all leagues and should be part of one of the top offenses in the NFL.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Aug. 15.
Huddle Up: Njoku probably will miss the second preseason game but does not appear to be dealing with a serious injury. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 fantasy tight end because he should see a solid amount of targets.

Cleveland Browns WR Rashard Higgins is the leading candidate to be the team's third wide receiver during WR Antonio Callaway's suspension, according to Scott Petrak of BrownsZone.com.
Huddle Up: Higgins has been a part of workouts with QB Baker Mayfield and WRs Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry this summer. He caught 39 passes for 572 yards and four touchdowns last season. He won't be an option when the rest of the receiving corps is at all full health, but he'll be a must-get off the waiver wire should anyone in front of him suffer injury.

Updating previous reports, Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hip) is doubtful to play in the second preseason game this week. It was previously reported to be a hip pointer, but sources say it's a different hip ailment. Head coach Freddie Kitchens insinuated Beckham could probably play if it were a real game.
Huddle Up: OBJ is an elite WR1, but he has proven to be fragile. That's part of the risk with the reward.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Aug. 14, because of a knee injury.
Huddle Up: Njoku probably will miss at least one preseason game, but he does not appear to have a serious injury. He is part of an offense that has the potential to be one of the best in the NFL, which makes him a low-end No. 1 tight end option in fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns RB Dontrell Hilliard is in line to begin the season behind RB Nick Chubb on the depth chart following the trade of RB Duke Johnson (Texans), at least until RB Kareem Hunt returns from an eight-game suspension.
Huddle Up: Hilliard is worth scooping up in the late rounds as a handcuff to Chubb. The Browns obviously have tremendous confidence in Hilliard since they parted with a reliable veteran in Johnson.

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (undisclosed) was held out of team drills again on Monday, Aug. 12.
Huddle Up: Beckham is not believed to be injured, but his exclusion from team drills is likely a precaution leading up to mid-week joint practices with the Indianapolis Colts. He is a bona fide WR1 in all fantasy leagues heading into 2019 with his new team.

Cleveland Browns WR Rashard Higgins had five grabs for 98 yards and a touchdown in the preseason game Thursday, Aug. 8.
Huddle Up: Higgins grew a rapport with Baker Mayfield before he took over as starter last season, and this performance only enhances his appeal on the roster. He's a WR5 with some staying power.

Cleveland Browns RB Dontrell Hilliard rushed nine times for 19 yards and caught three of his six targets for 34 yards in a 30-10 preseason win over the Washington Redskins Thursday, Aug. 8.
Huddle Up: With Duke Johnson officially out of the picture, Hilliard could slide into the role of third-down back. He's worth a speculative add in PPR formats as a RB5.

Updating previous reports, the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants finalized the trade to send WR Odell Beckham Jr. to the Browns on Wednesday, March 13.
Huddle Up: Beckham, as previously mentioned, remains a No. 1 receiver in fantasy but could encounter a lower volume of targets. His big-play nature should help off-set any limitations in this area.

Cleveland Browns RB Kareem Hunt (groin) has been cleared to participate in practice Saturday, Aug. 3.
Huddle Up: Hunt missed the first week of practice because of the injury but appears to be ready to return to the field. Hunt will miss the first half of the season because of a suspension but could have fantasy value in the final few months of the season.

Cleveland Browns WR Antonio Callaway has been working consistently with the second-team offense in training camp, according to Scott Patsko of Cleveland.com. WRs Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry and Rashard Higgins have been playing the majority of first-team reps. Derrick Willies and Jaelen Strong filled in for an injured Beckham on Monday.
Huddle Up: Callaway started 11 games last season and caught 43 passes for 586 yards and a team-high five touchdowns. He's still going to make the 2019 team, but he may have to work his way back into the mix under new head coach Freddie Kitchens. It's not looking like he'll warrant a draft selection.

Cleveland Browns RB Kareem Hunt (groin) is close to participating in practice, according to head coach Freddie Kitchens.
Huddle Up: Hunt will be a valuable fantasy option during the second half of the 2019 season, so fantasy players may want to stash him on their bench if they have the room on their roster.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku will be more consistent this season, according to QB Baker Mayfield. 'The sky is the limit for him,' said Mayfield.
Huddle Up: While Njoku will have another year of experience under his belt, the Cleveland passing attack has a lot of mouths to feed. Consider him a low-end TE1, but expect a few lean weeks.

Cleveland Browns RB Kareem Hunt (groin) will start training camp on the Active/Non-Football Injury list because of a groin injury.
Huddle Up: Hunt will be suspended for the first half of the 2019 season but should have value in some fantasy leagues when he returns.
