Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) was activated from the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list Saturday, Aug. 8.
Huddle Up: Landry probably will be limited during practice during training camp but will be ready for Week 1. He has been a reliable option for fantasy players during his career and can be considered at least a No. 3 receiver in all leagues.

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper lived part of the summer with QB Baker Mayfield while the two worked out together.
Huddle Up: It certainly could help Hooper to at least be somewhat familiar with his new QB despite all the lost reps from canceled offseason programs following his signing as a free agent. Hooper is expected to be the No. 1 tight end over David Njoku and should be drafted as a top-tier option at his thin position.

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. does not plan to opt-out of the 2020 season after making comments last month on his YouTube channel and again to the Wall Street Journal about the sensibility of playing through a pandemic.
Huddle Up: It should be noted Beckham, who reported to training camp last week, was reportedly pleased with the health and safety protocols the Browns have implemented and has been a full participant in camp activities. With Jarvis Landry's recovery from hip surgery putting him in a spot where he may not 100 percent for Week 1, Cleveland could use a fast start from Beckham. Consider him an upside fantasy WR2 with obvious WR1 upside.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) was placed on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list Sunday, Aug. 2.
Huddle Up: Landry will be limited during training camp but is on track for the start of the regular season. He will continue to see plenty of targets in the passing game and can be a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku is no longer seeking a trade and is ready to play for the Browns in 2020.
Huddle Up: The Browns signed Austin Hooper this offseason, but Njoku should still have a role in the passing game. Fantasy players probably should consider Njoku a No. 2 fantasy tight end at this point.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) is on track for the start of the regular season, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. Landry is scheduled to undergo his physical later this week.
Huddle Up: Landry likely will be eased back into practice and should be ready to play as long as he does not suffer a setback. He has been a consistent option for fantasy players over the last several seasons and should be at least a No. 3 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper leads all tight ends with a 77.3 percent catch rate since the start of 2017, and he dropped one pass on 97 targets last season.
Huddle Up: Hooper doesn't have the upside of the elite fantasy tight ends, but he's proven himself a dependable, low-end TE1. It should be more of the same in his first year with the Browns.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku remains a big part of the Browns' offense, but a source said that Njoku has wanted out.
Huddle Up: Njoku is coming off of a lost season, and now he has Austin Hooper in town fresh off of a career year. So Njoku is blocked to a degree, but he might be a lottery ticket TE2 late in drafts.

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku is not receiving any trade interest from Dallas Cowboys, according to sources.
Huddle Up: The Cowboys had been mentioned as a possible option for Njoku, but it appears like they will stick with Blake Jarwin as their starting tight end. Jarwin could be a No. 2 tight end in fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku has asked the team to trade him and hopes for a trade before the start of training camp. The Browns have told Njoku they would like to keep him, but agent Drew Rosenhaus said Njoku is intent on a trade.
Huddle Up: The Browns added Austin Hooper this offseason, so Njoku likely will be looking to start for another team. He has played well at times during his career but was limited to only four games and 41 yards in 2019. He probably should be considered a No. 2 tight end at this time but could be a low-end No. 1 tight end depending on his new team.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield threw seven interceptions on throws that traveled at least 20 yards during the 2019 season.
Huddle Up: Mayfield will be working in a new offense this season and will have one of the top groups of pass catchers to work with in the NFL. He has a chance to be a No. 1 quarterback in all fantasy leagues in 2020.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) is 'looking great' in videos of him moving around, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski Thursday, June 25.
Huddle Up: Landry's role is expected to take a bit of a hit this season following the emergence of RBs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt in 2019 and the signing of free-agent TE Austin Hooper this offseason. He should still be able to fulfill value as a mid-tier WR3.

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (core) is 'free and clear' following core muscle surgery, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. Stefanski added Beckham is '100 percent and looking really good.'
Huddle Up: Beckham will likely still need to get some reps in training camp to get back to game shape, but he stands to be a value in 2020 fantasy drafts following a 1,035-yard, four-touchdown 2019 season that was deemed a disappointment by many.

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry recorded 36 receptions on play-action passes during the 2019 season, which was the most among wide receivers.
Huddle Up: The Browns have one of the better offenses in the NFL, and Landry has been a reliable option in the passing game since joining the team. He will see plenty of targets again in 2020 and should be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb has averaged 4.2 yards per carry after contact over the last two seasons.
Huddle Up: Chubb ranked second in rushing last season and will continue to be the main option in the running game even with Kareem Hunt on the roster. He likely will be selected in one of the first two rounds of drafts and will be a weekly starting option.

Cleveland Browns WRs Rashard Higgins, Damion Ratley, Donovan Peoples-Jones and KhaDarel Hodge are the candidates for the No. 3 receiver job entering training camp, according to wide receiver coach Chad O'Shea. RB Kareem Hunt could also be an option for the job.
Huddle Up: Higgins could have a small edge in the competition at this point since he has shown some chemistry with Baker Mayfield. Fantasy players can monitor the situation during training camp to see who wins the job. None of the receivers likely will be big fantasy options and can be avoided in some leagues.

Cleveland Browns RB Kareem Hunt participated in some of the receiver meetings this offseason, according to wide receivers coach Chad O'Shea.
Huddle Up: Hunt was a solid part of the passing game last season but is not known if he would line up at receiver this season. He should be involved as a pass catcher again in 2020 and could also see a handful of carries in the passing game. He has a chance to be a flex option in fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns RB Kareem Hunt said he wants to win and is willing to handle any role the team asks him to this upcoming season.
Huddle Up: Hunt likely will be used as more of a receiver out of the backfield but should also receive some carries in the running game. He can be a flex option in most fantasy leagues this upcoming season since the Browns should have an improved offense.

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. is receiving strong praise from offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt. 'He's a worker,' Van Pelt said about Beckham's participation in the offseason program. 'He loves football. He's smart as hell. He's just been a model guy this offseason.'
Huddle Up: OBJ was a huge disappointment in his first season in Cleveland, but he's still only 27, and if he can stay healthy, a WR1 rebound season isn't out of question. Take a shot if he starts falling too far in your draft.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield has been streamlining his footwork this offseason over virtual calls, according to offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt. Van Pelt said he wants his quarterbacks using West Coast footwork, and he has gotten Mayfield to remove a giant stagger step from his dropbacks.
Huddle Up: Mayfield took 40 sacks last season - up from 25 in 14 games in 2019 - so improved rhythm could help keep him upright in 2020. Quicker throws could also lead to a higher completion percentage after he dropped from 63.8 percent to 59.4 percent from his rookie to sophomore season.

Cleveland Browns RB Kareem Hunt's role in the offense will grow in 2020, according to offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt Wednesday, June 3. 'We have to find a way to put the best players on the field and the matchups that will come with that each week. Kareem is an extremely talented runner as a running back, and he is exceptional out of the backfield (as a receiver). He is fearless, and the selflessness of him blocking and lead blocking, he is just a football player who loves to play. We have to find ways to get him the ball.'
Huddle Up: Hunt, the 2017 rushing champ, totaled 464 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns in eight games after returning from suspension. He worked mostly as the backup to RB Nick Chubb. Despite playing half as many games, Hunt (44) finished with just five fewer targets than Chubb (49) and had more receiving yards. Look for Hunt to get the majority of third-down work in 2020, which could limit Chubb's upside.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku has been impressive during the offseason meetings and will have a clean slate with the new coaching staff, according to offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt.
Huddle Up: The Browns added Austin Hooper this offseason, but Njoku could still have a role in the passing game. Fantasy players should monitor his progress during training camp, but he probably is only a low-end No. 2 tight end at this point.

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. has been fully involved in the virtual meetings this offseason and has been great to work with, according to offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt.
Huddle Up: Beckham is still one of the top receivers in the NFL and could have more success this season with a new offensive scheme. He should be a weekly starting option in fantasy leagues in 2020.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield has been buying into the ways of new head coach Kevin Stefanski. The third-year quarterback has been 'moving in silence,' which is a dramatic change for the normally outspoken Mayfield. He was asked to tone down his rhetoric by Stefanski, and Mayfield has taken it to heart, which some around the team view as a sign of improving maturity.
Huddle Up: Look for a bunch of play-action passing from Mayfield, and we've already seen reports about him working on his footwork in relation to this emphasized aspect of the new offense. In 2020, if Mayfield fails, it won't be for a lack of weaponry. Stefanski has been able to get the most out of his quarterbacks in Minnesota, although we haven't see huge fantasy returns as a result. Nevertheless, Mayfield will be tasked with being more efficient, and that will go a long way in keeping him useful on a weekly basis.

Cleveland Browns RBs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt probably will be on the field at the same time on occasion this upcoming season, in the opinion of The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot.
Huddle Up: Chubb will continue to receive most of the work at running back this upcoming season, but Hunt was a solid receiver out of the backfield in 2019. Chubb should be a No. 1 running back in fantasy leagues, while Hunt can be a flex option in most leagues and likely will be more valuable in point-per-reception leagues.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku said recently he's excited about starting a new season and moving past a 2019 campaign in which both he and the team fell well short of expectations. 'That's what I'm most excited about, just the opportunity,' Njoku said. 'Obviously, this past year wasn't (what) we all planned or had in mind, but it's a great learning experience. I'm very excited to come back with my teammates and give it all we got.'
Huddle Up: Njoku, the 29th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft, totaled just five receptions, 41 yards and one touchdown across four games amid an injury-riddled 2019 season. He posted career-highs of 56 receptions and 639 yards in 2018. He'll enter the 2020 season second on the depth chart behind free-agent addition Austin Hooper and is unlikely to have much value in redraft leagues, barring injury. He is still worth hanging onto in dynasty leagues in hopes he can land a No. 1 role next year.

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb rushed for at least 10 yards on 39 carries during the 2019 regular season, which ranked third in the NFL.
Huddle Up: Chubb shared playing time with Kareem Hunt but received most of the carries last season and should receive most of the work again in 2020. He should be a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield said he has been working on a change to his footwork that offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt asked him to try out. He said he is getting more comfortable with the new footwork.
Huddle Up: Mayfield is coming off a disappointing 2019 season but will still have a lot of weapons to work with in the passing game. Fantasy players should consider Mayfield a No. 2 quarterback at this point, but he has a chance to be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback if he improves his play.
