Washington Commanders WR Antonio Williams was compared to retired WR Randall Cobb by a national NFL scout.
Huddle Up: With Washington in needs of some playmakers at the receiver position, Williams should have a chance to carve out an early role. He is a name to keep an eye throughout offseason activities, and Williams could be a late-round sleeper if the reviews are positive.

Free-agent RB Austin Ekeler (Commanders) has been medically return to the field after his torn Achilles tendon and is planning to play in 2026, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Ekeler is not a starting running back at this point but can be a solid No. 2 back and a receiver out of the backfield for a team. Fantasy players can monitor his situation this offseason because he can be a later round pick in fantasy leagues.

Penn State RB Kaytron Allen was selected by the Washington Commanders with the 187th overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: The Commanders have several solid running backs on the roster, so fantasy players will need to see if Allen can earn any playing time during his rookie season. He could have some value in deeper leagues if he earns a role but will probably only be a backup in leagues.

Clemson WR Antonio Williams was selected by the Washington Commanders with the 71st overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: Williams could provide some juice to the Washington offense as a slot receiver, but it remains to be seen where he will fall in the pecking order as a rookie. Williams is worthy of a third-round pick in rookie drafts, but his redraft value for next season is less clear.

Updating a previous report, Washington Commanders RB Jerome Ford's one-year, $1.402 million contract includes a $137,500 signing bonus with $437,500 total guaranteed and a 2026 base salary of $1.215 million.
Huddle Up: Ford is in what is now a loaded backfield in Washington with Rachaad White, Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jeremy McNichols for 2026. Last season, Ford ran for just 3.0 yards per carry in an injury-riddled 2025 campaign that saw him get just 24 carries in 13 games. He's been a solid depth back and fill-in starter for fantasy purposes across his four seasons in Cleveland, but now in Washington, we'll pass on Ford in drafts.

Updating a previous report, Washington Commanders RB Jeremy McNichols' one-year, $1.487 million contract includes a $162,500 signing bonus with $562,500 total guaranteed and a 2026 base salary of $1.3 million.
Huddle Up: In what is now a loaded backfield in Washington with Rachaad White, Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jerome Ford. McNichols ran for 5.0 yards per carry last season on 44 carries. He's been a solid depth back and for fantasy purposes, that means we'll pass on him in drafts.

Washington Commanders TE Chig Okonkwo received interest from the Denver Broncos before deciding to sign with the Commanders, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Evan Engram is the leading candidate to be the starting tight end next season, but it seems like the team is looking for other options at the position. Engram will likely be a No. 2 fantasy tight end next season if keeps the starting job.

Free-agent RB Jeremy McNichols (Commanders) agreed to a one-year deal with the Washington Commanders Monday, March 16. Financial terms weren't disclosed.
Huddle Up: Their backfield is crowded with Rachaad White, Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jerome Ford. McNichols ran for 5.0 yards per carry last season, but at age 30, it's going to be hard for him to carve out a role. Pass in drafts for now.

Free-agent RB Jerome Ford (Browns) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Washington Commanders Saturday, March 14. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: Ford spent four seasons in Cleveland and began the 2025 campaign as the Browns' starting running back but quickly lost fantasy relevance in most leagues due to the emergence of rookie Quinshon Judkins. He was serving primarily as a kick returner before sustaining a season-ending shoulder injury in Week 14's game. Ford is likely to be used in Washington as part of a timeshare with RBs Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Rachaad White in 2026, with RB Austin Ekeler not expected to return to the club and RB Chris Rodriguez having already agreed to terms with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Impending free-agent TE Chig Okonkwo (Titans) reportedly agreed to terms on a three-year contract with the Washington Commanders on Wednesday, March 11. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: Okonkwo heading to the Commanders will not do much to help his fantasy value. The team still has Zach Ertz on the roster, who will be their TE1.

Impending free-agent QB Marcus Mariota (Commanders) reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year contract worth $7 million to remain with the Washington Commanders on Monday, March 9. The deal could be worth as much as $11 million if certain incentives are reached.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent RB Rachaad White could "make sense" as an option for the Jacksonville Jaguars if impending free-agent RB Travis Etienne is not re-signed, according to Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com.
Huddle Up: If Etienne does end up with a new team, it would make sense for the Jaguars to add a veteran back to pair with Bhayshul Tuten. White isn't flashy, but he could find his way into the flex conversation if he lands in Jacksonville.

Tennessee Titans impending free-agent TE Chig Okonkwo could be a target for the Washington Commanders, according to John Keim of ESPN.com.
Huddle Up: Okonkwo has been a safe bet for around 500 receiving yards during his four-year career, but he has never had more than three touchdown receptions in a season. Playing in an offense with Jayden Daniels could boost his upside, but Okonkwo projects as more of a TE2.

Washington Commanders WR Terry McLaurin hopefully will have 10 targets per game next season, according to offensive coordinator David Blough.
Huddle Up: McLaurin dealt with injuries this season but is the main target in the passing game for the Commanders when healthy. He should have Jayden Daniels throwing to him again in 2026 and will be a No. 2 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels will likely be under center more often next season with offensive coordinator David Blough calling plays, according to head coach Dan Quinn.
Huddle Up: Daniels under center could help with play action passes and the possibility of Daniels having some designed runs as well. Fantasy players should keep an eye on the Commanders offense during the preseason to see how it will be different. Daniels can be a low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback when healthy.

Washington Commanders WR Terry McLaurin cashed in all four of his targets in Week 18 against the Philadelphia Eagles for four catches and 57 yards.
Huddle Up: It was a bit of a lost season for Scary Terry. He started the summer with a contract impasse, then he suffered an early-season injury which cost him a chunk of time. When he was in there, he worked with Jayden Daniels, Marcus Mariota and Josh Johnson under center. With a return to full health, and stability at the QB position, McLaurin still has WR1 ability in fantasy leagues heading into 2026.

Washington Commanders RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt rushed 13 times for just 29 yards in Week 18 against the Philadelphia Eagles, and he was not targeted in the passing game.
Huddle Up: Croskey-Merritt has his chance to be the top dog, but eventually, Chris Rodriguez Jr. emerged as the lead back down the stretch. Bill is still, likely, the future, but the backfield battle will worth keeping an eye on in the summer. Jeremy McNichols is a free agent, and Austin Ekeler is unlikely to be back. Washington could still pick up a free agent, or consider taking a back in the draft, so don't get carried away with Bill or Rodriguez. But, if those two go into training camp, and emerge as one of the top backfield options, they'll be decent RB3 or flex fantasy option in 2026.

Tennessee Titans TE Chig Okonkwo caught two passes for two yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 18. He was targeted five times during the game.
Huddle Up: Okonkwo was a solid contributor in the Titans passing game this season but may be with a new team in 2026 since he will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The Titans may want to have Gunnar Helm as their starter and allow Okonkwo to join another team. He has a chance to be a starter with a team next season and will probably be a No. 2 fantasy tight end.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Rachaad White rushed seven times for 23 yards and caught two passes for 18 yards in a 16-14 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 18.
Huddle Up: As has been the case when Bucky Irving is healthy, White served as a the main backup and saw some work in the passing game. He remained a quality handcuff, although the emergence of Sean Tucker cut into White's upside a bit. He will be a free agent his offseason, but depending on where he lands, White could continue to be one of the better backups.

Tennessee Titans WR Van Jefferson (forearm) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 2, and has been ruled out for Week 18.
Huddle Up: Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor will be the main receivers for the Titans this week with Jefferson ruled out. Dike should be at least a flex option in most fantasy leagues, while Ayomanor can be a possible flex option in deeper leagues.

Washington Commanders RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt (illness) practiced in full on Friday, Jan. 2, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Huddle Up: Croskey-Merritt is coming off his second 100-yard rushing game of the season and could earn another against a resting Eagles' defense. He can be installed as a flex play in Week 18.

Washington Commanders QB Marcus Mariota (hand, quadriceps) has been ruled out for Week 18.
Huddle Up: Josh Johnson was 15-for-23 for 198 yards, no scores and no picks last week and really isn't an option outside of a desperation superflex-league play against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Washington Commanders RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt (illness) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 1.
Huddle Up: Croskey-Merritt appears to have recovered from his illness and should be available for the Week 18 game. He is coming off a terrific performance last week but probably will have to share playing time with Chris Rodriguez Jr. this week. He can still be a flex option in most fantasy leagues.

Tennessee Titans WR Van Jefferson (forearm) did not participate in practice Thursday, Jan. 1.
Huddle Up: Jefferson seems unlikely to be available for the Week 18 game after missing the first two practices of the week. Fantasy players should look for other options and can avoid Jefferson even if he is active for the game.

Tennessee Titans WR Van Jefferson (forearm) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 31.
Huddle Up: Jefferson suffered the injury in the last game, so he may not have enough time to recover before the Week 18 game. Fantasy players can keep an eye on his status but can avoid him in fantasy leagues.

Washington Commanders QB Marcus Mariota (hand, quadriceps) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 31.
Huddle Up: Mariota is not expected to be available for the game, but fantasy players can check on his status later in the week. Josh Johnson will likely be the starter in the finale but can be avoided in all leagues.

Washington Commanders RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt (illness) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 31.
Huddle Up: There is a good chance that Croskey-Merritt returns later in the week, but fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation. He is coming off an outstanding Week 17 performance and has four rushing touchdowns in the last three games. He may share playing time with Chris Rodriguez Jr. during the game but can still be a flex option in leagues.

Washington Commanders QB Marcus Mariota (hand, quad) is doubtful for Week 18, according to head coach Dan Quinn.
Huddle Up: Mariota being out would signal another start for Josh Johnson at quarterback for the Commanders. Jayden Daniels will be back in 2026, however, and should return to his QB1 form due to his dual-threat ability in the Washington offense.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RBs Bucky Irving and Rachaad White nearly split the backfield snaps right down the middle in Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins, with Irving seeing 54 percent of the snaps, to White's 48 percent. White was on the field for some of Irving's snaps because he is the best pass-blocking tailback.
Huddle Up: As far as stats, neither did very well at all. Irving had 19 rushing yards on nine totes, good for just 2.1 yards per carry (YPC), while White had two runs for 10 yards, and a pair of receptions. If you were to start anyone in fantasy leagues in Week 18, or in DFS, Irving still has more upside in Carolina, as the Bucs look to lock up a division title.
