Huddle Up: Burks should be fine moving forward, but fantasy players can keep an eye on his status. He still has a chance to earn the No. 2 receiver job if he performs well during training camp but will not be a starting fantasy option in most leagues.

Huddle Up: Bates is primarily a blocking tight end, so his absence affects the tight ends outside of Chig Okonkwo, like Ben Sinnott and Colson Yankoff. That means you can ignore all but Okonkwo in fantasy football this season, unless a long-term injury strikes Okonkwo.

Huddle Up: Burks is a candidate for the No. 2 receiver job, so fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation. He may see a few targets each game this season but can be avoided in most leagues.

Huddle Up: The Commanders have only one reliable receiver on the roster with Terry McLaurin, but McCaffrey, Lane and Burks all have a chance to earn a consistent role in the passing game. McLaurin is the only one that should be a fantasy starter at this point, but players can keep an eye out to see if any of the others are worth a spot on their fantasy teams.

Huddle Up: Daniels was limited to seven games last season because of injury and is learning a new offense, so it is good that he is building chemistry with the other offensive players this offseason. He played very well during his rookie season and will be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback in all leagues if healthy.

Huddle Up: Brown isn't going to be drafted by most fantasy players, but the Commanders' roster build makes things interesting. They didn't bring in competition, so the door is open for Brown to break through.

Huddle Up: Croskey-Merritt has not been named the starter at this point but is likely the leading candidate for the job. He will have to share work with the other backs on the roster even if he starts but can be at least a No. 3 running back in fantasy leagues.

Huddle Up: White has averaged 4.3 yards per carry over the last two seasons for Tampa Bay, with solid pass-catching throughout his four-year NFL career. He brings his talent to Washington, where he joins a crowded backfield. White will be plenty involved in the Commanders' offense, so draft him in the later rounds as a depth running back in fantasy football, but one who should have a standalone role.

Huddle Up: Croskey-Merritt, a.k.a. "Bill", led the team with 815 yards last season, and he has added some size this offseason. The team hasn't had a 1,000-yard rusher since 2021, and only two in the past 11 seasons. The team might use a committee in the backfield, with Croskey-Merritt likely to be the first tailback off the board in fantasy drafts in the middle rounds, followed closely by White. McNichols is going to be worthy of an add with a late-round pick, too. The others are simply players to monitor.

Huddle Up: After an impressive rookie season, injuries limited Daniels to just seven games last year. There is no denying his upside, but between the injury concerns and a lack of depth at the wide receiver position, it safer to target Daniels as a low-end QB1.

Huddle Up: White signed with the Commanders in free agency and is expected to compete for the starting running back role. With the Bucs, he proved to be a goal-line usage piece, as well as someone who was involved on passing downs. He could have some fantasy value based on the role he carves out in training camp.

Huddle Up: It does not appear like Croskey-Merritt is dealing with any serious issue and should be ready for training camp. He may be a part of a committee at running back but will likely receive most of the work among the running backs. He can be a No. 3 running back in most fantasy leagues.

Huddle Up: The bootleg situation is a bit concerning, as that's how Daniels suffered a sprained knee in Week 2 of the 2025 season on a scramble, while suffering a hamstring strain in Week 7 escaping pressure. He also suffered a dislocated left elbow escaping pressure in a Week 9 Sunday Night game. With a mobile quarterback, there is more potential for injury. He is a high-risk, high-reward fantasy option, capable of being a QB1 when he is on the football field. However, outside of Terry McLaurin, his current cadre of receivers is rather mediocre, and that could limit his fantasy potential to the low-end QB1 neighborhood.

Huddle Up: McLaurin and quarterback Jayden Daniels both struggled with injuries last year, but McLaurin topped 1,000 yards and caught 13 touchdowns two years ago in Daniels' rookie season. Don't be surprised if McLaurin rebounds and is back in the WR2 mix in 2026.

Huddle Up: Fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation to see if Croskey-Merritt is dealing with any injuries. There is a good chance that he is the starting running back this season but will likely have to share playing time with the other running backs on the roster. He can be considered at least a No. 3 running back in most fantasy leagues.

Huddle Up: McLaurin struggled with injuries this past season and posted a career-low 582 yards. He has shown a strong connection with Jayden Daniels in the past and should be a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues next season and may be a No. 1 receiver for players.

Huddle Up: Williams has a chance to be the No. 2 receiver for the Commanders this offseason, so fantasy players should keep an eye on his status during training camp and the preseason. He can be a late round pick in leagues if he starts but is unlikely to be a starting fantasy option most weeks.

Huddle Up: With Washington in needs of some playmakers at the receiver position, Williams should have a chance to carve out an early role. He is a name to keep an eye throughout offseason activities, and Williams could be a late-round sleeper if the reviews are positive.

Huddle Up: The Commanders have several solid running backs on the roster, so fantasy players will need to see if Allen can earn any playing time during his rookie season. He could have some value in deeper leagues if he earns a role but will probably only be a backup in leagues.

Huddle Up: Williams could provide some juice to the Washington offense as a slot receiver, but it remains to be seen where he will fall in the pecking order as a rookie. Williams is worthy of a third-round pick in rookie drafts, but his redraft value for next season is less clear.

Huddle Up: Ford is in what is now a loaded backfield in Washington with Rachaad White, Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jeremy McNichols for 2026. Last season, Ford ran for just 3.0 yards per carry in an injury-riddled 2025 campaign that saw him get just 24 carries in 13 games. He's been a solid depth back and fill-in starter for fantasy purposes across his four seasons in Cleveland, but now in Washington, we'll pass on Ford in drafts.

Huddle Up: In what is now a loaded backfield in Washington with Rachaad White, Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jerome Ford. McNichols ran for 5.0 yards per carry last season on 44 carries. He's been a solid depth back and for fantasy purposes, that means we'll pass on him in drafts.

Huddle Up: Evan Engram is the leading candidate to be the starting tight end next season, but it seems like the team is looking for other options at the position. Engram will likely be a No. 2 fantasy tight end next season if keeps the starting job.

Huddle Up: Their backfield is crowded with Rachaad White, Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jerome Ford. McNichols ran for 5.0 yards per carry last season, but at age 30, it's going to be hard for him to carve out a role. Pass in drafts for now.

Huddle Up: Ford spent four seasons in Cleveland and began the 2025 campaign as the Browns' starting running back but quickly lost fantasy relevance in most leagues due to the emergence of rookie Quinshon Judkins. He was serving primarily as a kick returner before sustaining a season-ending shoulder injury in Week 14's game. Ford is likely to be used in Washington as part of a timeshare with RBs Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Rachaad White in 2026, with RB Austin Ekeler not expected to return to the club and RB Chris Rodriguez having already agreed to terms with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Huddle Up: Okonkwo heading to the Commanders will not do much to help his fantasy value. The team still has Zach Ertz on the roster, who will be their TE1.

Huddle Up: If Etienne does end up with a new team, it would make sense for the Jaguars to add a veteran back to pair with Bhayshul Tuten. White isn't flashy, but he could find his way into the flex conversation if he lands in Jacksonville.
