Tennessee Titans WR Calvin Ridley moves and cuts in a way that rookie QB Cam Ward has never seen any receiver move or cut before. "(Ridley is) different. How he moves, everything. Now that I see what a receiver is supposed to be like, that's why I'm glad that Eli (Elic Ayomanor), Chim (Chimere Dike), Strep (Xavier Restrepo), Bryce (Oliver), all the guys in that room, I'm glad they got him because I ain't never threw to no receiver like him, who move like him, can cut like him ... he ain't selfish either. He wants the rookies, all of us, to do better than him because he's gonna end up getting his one-on-ones," Ward said recently.
Huddle Up: Ridley's career has become a bit of an odyssey in recent years, most of which is through no fault of his own. The primary thing that held him back last year was lackluster quarterback play. In 2023, he was forced into more of an "X" role due to injuries when his skill set is a better fit as a "Z." He missed 2022 due to a gambling suspension and only played five games the season before, making his 90-1,374-9 season in 2020 a bit of a distant memory. With Ward expected to raise the level of quarterback play in Tennessee, Ridley could easily be a top-20 receiver in fantasy this season.

Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward said he is learning to move defenders with his eyes and adjusting to the closing speed of defenders.
Huddle Up: Ward is expected to open the year as the starter, and while his arm talent has never been questioned, forcing throws could be an issue. Consider him a QB2 as a rookie, but he is a plenty of upside in keeper leagues.

Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward "didn't shy away from throws" during minicamp, according to head coach Brian Callahan.
Huddle Up: While Ward's confidence can certainly be a good thing as he adjusts to the NFL, forcing throws can also lead to turnovers. Ward will have to find the right balance for his aggressive style, but it doesn't sound like Ward is going to be playing scared. He is worth a look as a low-end QB2 in redraft leagues, but he carries a lot more upside in keeper formats.

Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward likely will open the 2025 regular season as the starting quarterback, in the opinion of TennesseeTitans.com's Jim Wyatt.
Huddle Up: Ward should start right away if he is healthy and probably will have an up and down season like more rookie quarterbacks. He will be more valuable in keeper leagues but can be a No. 2 quarterback in standard leagues.

Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward has progressed already in camp, according to head coach Brian Callahan, who said he's pleased with Ward's progress. Ward has progressed in understanding throws he made in college won't necessarily be available to make in the NFL, and Callahan said he's picking up the mental part quickly.
Huddle Up: It's nice to hear, but until you actually do it in live action, it's just coach speak. Ward has a big arm and will be a QB2 in fantasy with a chance to ascend to the midrange QB1 portion with how watered down the position has become.

Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward has been sharing snaps with QB Will Levis but will start receiving more work with the first-team offense as the offseason practices go on, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Huddle Up: Ward has not been named the starting quarterback at this point but should be under center in Week 1. He likely will struggle at times during his rookie season and should be a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward's four-year contract is worth $48.7 million with the entire amount being fully guaranteed.

Tennessee Titans first-round draft choice QB Cam Ward signed a four-year contract with the Titans Wednesday, May 21. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal does include a fifth-year option.
Huddle Up: Ward likely will be the starting quarterback right away for the Titans but probably will not be a starting fantasy option this season. He should be seen as a No. 2 fantasy quarterback during his rookie season.

Tennessee Titans QBs Cam Ward and Will Levis continue to split reps through the second phase of the team's offseason program.
Huddle Up: Head coach Brian Callahan suggested shortly after the draft that the duo would split reps throughout the early part of the offseason, so this should not come as a shock. Callahan seemed to suggest the tide could turn a bit when OTAs begin. With that said, expect Ward to "earn" the starting job sometime before (or right after) the start of training camp. Ward figures to have a mid-range fantasy QB2 ceiling in his rookie season, but his play should be a huge upgrade over what Tennessee had at quarterback last year.

Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward won't be handed the starting job, despite being the No. 1 overall pick, according to general manager Mike Borgonzi on Monday, April 28. "Yeah, it's a great room we have right now with those four guys," Borgonzi said about QBs Will Levis, Brandon Allen, Tim Boyle, and Ward. "And that'll be up to Brian [Callahan] and his staff in terms of reps as we go through the offseason and get into training camp. But, we'll take it step-by-step here. And that'll be up to Brian in terms of who takes what reps at some point. So, we're not going to name any starters here, though, right now here in the offseason."
Huddle Up: It's merely a formality at this point. We've seen what Levis is on the field. The likes of Allen and Boyle are low-tier backups, at best, so Ward is the unofficial Week 1 starter, unless he's shockingly bad during summer practice. The top pick in this year's draft is only a late-round gamble in your fantasy league's selection process.
