New England Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson (undisclosed) participated in practice Saturday, May 10, after missing practice Friday, May 9, because of an undisclosed reason.
Huddle Up: Henderson probably will share playing time Rhamondre Stevenson this upcoming season but has a chance to take over the starting job at some point during the season. He can be a flex option in some leagues depending on his workload.

University of Arizona OL Jonah Savaiinaea was a strong consideration for the New England Patriots with the 38th overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft until the Miami Dolphins traded with the Las Vegas Raiders to get one pick ahead of the Patriots and select him. The Patriots ended up selecting Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson at No. 38. "According to multiple league sources, the player that they were discussing was Arizona guard/tackle Jonah Savaiinaea. He was the guy. And the Dolphins happened to, all of a sudden, jump in front of the Patriots sending a third-round pick to the Raiders. They jumped in front of the Patriots and took him," Greg Bedard of the Boston Sports Journal told the Patriots Press Pass podcast recently.

New England Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson (Ohio State) was selected at No. 38 overall on Friday, April 25. However, the Chicago Bears reportedly tried trading up for the No. 35, No. 36 and No. 37 picks and were turned down each time.
Huddle Up: The Bears ended up with Kyle Monangai in the seventh round, which is not a bad consolation prize all things considered. However, it is disappointing for many fantasy managers that Henderson will not be taking his talents to the Windy City to play for Ben Johnson. According to Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune, it sounds as though the Bears also tried to land Cam Skattebo and maybe even Bhayshul Tuten early on Day 3. Expect Chicago to add a veteran early-down back - Nick Chubb has been mentioned as a possibility - in the coming days or weeks.

New England Patriots second-round draft choice TreVeyon Henderson is a "bit undersized" but someone the team views as a "three-down back and a really good complement," according to executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf.
Huddle Up: Henderson was taken with the 38th overall pick on Friday, so he will see the field early and often as a rookie. While it is true that he is a bit undersized at 202 pounds, he was perhaps the best combination of big-play ability and pass-game utility that the 2025 draft had to offer at running back after Ashton Jeanty. Expect Henderson to secure most of the work on passing downs and handle roughly eight to 10 carries each week, which would easily be enough to put him in the high-end flex conversation.

Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson was selected by the New England Patriots with the 38th overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: Henderson likely will be behind Rhamondre Stevenson on the depth chart but should still see a good amount of playing time during his rookie season. He can be selected in fantasy drafts and could be at least a flex option at some point in 2025.

Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson and Louisiana State University TE Mason Taylor are reportedly the two players that the Cleveland Browns are eyeing with their two second-round selections on Friday, April 25 (Nos. 33 and 36 overall).
Huddle Up: Henderson makes plenty of sense for a team that would love nothing more than to add an explosive element out of the backfield to the passing game. He would make a natural complement to Nick Chubb if they decided to bring the free agent back. The addition of Taylor would be a bit more puzzling in that he is not a great blocker at this point in his career and David Njoku should be locked in as a top option in the passing game for at least two more years.

Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson could go to the Denver Broncos at No. 20, if not earlier, ahead of North Carolina RB Omarion Hampton, who is widely considered the second-best back of the class, one source told Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. The source predicts the Pittsburgh Steelers could take Hampton, should he be available at No. 21 overall.
