Dallas Cowboys fifth-round draft choice RB Jaydon Blue (Texas) signed his four-year rookie contract worth $4.627 million - including a $427,068 signing bonus - on Monday, May 12.
Huddle Up: There is some early belief that Blue will end up leading this backfield when all is said and done this season, although it would be a stretch for the 196-pounder to do that after more than doubling his career touch total entering 2024 with 176 combined carries and catches with the Longhorns last season. To that end, Blue handled more than 15 touches in a game three times across his 38-game college career. A more realistic expectation would be to pace the backfield in catches and average about six to eight carries per game.

Dallas Cowboys RB Jaydon Blue should be able to play early as a third-down back, according to ESPN's Matt Miller.
Huddle Up: It remains to be seen if Blue can handle a heavy workload, but his big-play speed gives him upside as a runner. If he can secure the third-down role and earn 10-plus touches a game, Blue could be a flex option in PPR leagues as a rookie.

Huddle Up: Blue has a chance to earn a solid role in the running game in his rookie season since the Cowboys do not have a clear No. 1 running back. Blue could be a late round pick in fantasy drafts with the chance to be productive for players.
