Green Bay Packers WR Savion Williams already seems to have created quite an impression on offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich, who told reporters on Monday, May 12, that there is "a zillion different ways to use him in your offense."
Huddle Up: On one hand, fantasy managers love few things more than the offensive coordinator talking up a rookie. On the other hand, the Packers will have so much competition at receiver entering training camp that it will be difficult for Williams to find a path to regular touches or targets. At best, he will begin the summer behind first-round draft choice Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks. The third-round pick could see some immediate work as a gadget player, but it is hard to forecast him doing much more than that before midseason.

Green Bay Packers WR Savion Williams is being viewed by the team as a "real receiver" going forward, according to The Green Bay Press-Gazette's Pete Dougherty, though he notes that will come as Williams gains experience as a route runner. Early on, Dougherty believes the team will use Williams on things like jet sweeps and bubble screens, making comparisons to how players like Pittsburgh Steelers RB Cordarrelle Patterson and Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel have been utilized.
Huddle Up: Dougherty also mentions that head coach Matt LaFleur wants to work both Williams and Matthew Golden into the offense immediately, though given Green Bay's depth at the position, it's hard to envision Williams seeing enough touches to generate interest in non-keeper formats. At best, you might want to add him to your watch list to see how his role develops.

Green Bay Packers third-round draft choice WR Savion Williams (Texas Christian), fourth-round draft choice DL Barryn Sorrell (Texas), fifth-round draft choice DE Collin Oliver (Oklahoma State), sixth-round draft choice DT Warren Brinson (Georgia) and seventh-round draft choices CB Micah Robinson (Tulane) and OL John Williams (Cincinnati) signed their four-year rookie contracts on Friday, May 2. Financial terms of the deals were not immediately disclosed.

Texas Christian WR Savion Williams was selected by the Green Bay Packers with the 87 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: After selecting a receiver in the first round, the Packers added another weapon to an already crowded receiving room. Williams was used in a variety of ways in college, but he could struggle to make a consistent impact with so many mouths to feed in Green Bay.
