Detroit Lions WR Isaac TeSlaa figures to make his initial impact on special teams, in the opinion of beat writer Tim Twentyman.
Huddle Up: TeSlaa is a name to keep in the memory bank, but it may not pay off this season unless injuries mow through Detroit. He's a big, quick receiver that the team traded up to land. They'll probably slow-play it early on because of their depth, but he's a dynasty option to consider.

Detroit Lions WR Isaac TeSlaa, who the team drafted in the third round, is a "potential sleeper" and "budding freak athlete," in the opinion of The Detroit Free Press' Carlos Monarrez, but is also someone that could "need time to develop." TeSlaa is capable of lining up in the slot or out wide.
Huddle Up: With the trio of Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Sam LaPorta entrenched atop the depth chart, and solid veterans Tim Patrick and Kalif Raymond also returning, TeSlaa could have a hard time breaking into the rotation as a rookie. As such, he offers nominal draft-day appeal in standard formats. It's a different story for those in keeper leagues as the team traded up to get TeSlaa and obviously plan to have him in the fold sooner than later.

Detroit Lions third-round pick WR Isaac TeSlaa was general manager Brad Holmes' favorite receiver in the draft. "I do love all of them," Holmes said. "I'll give you this, though: The pick that was probably the most questioned, I would say, was (TeSlaa). I can say that he was my favorite wide receiver in this draft. I'm not saying he was the best wide receiver in the draft. But favorite wide receiver in the draft? Yes."
Huddle Up: TeSlaa had 62 receptions for 896 yards and five touchdowns in 25 games at Arkansas, and he had zero drops. He was one of six receivers at the NFL Scouting Combine to measure 10-inch or larger hands. He sounds like he's destined for a third-down role and could be worthy of a WR5 pickup if he acclimates quickly.
