Houston Texans WR Jayden Higgins (knee) was placed on season-ending injured reserve on Friday, Aug. 21.

Houston Texans WR Jayden Higgins (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament during a joint practice Tuesday, Aug. 18, and will miss the 2026 season, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Huddle Up: Higgins was set to have a solid role in the passing game this upcoming season, but Tank Dell and Jaylin Noel will likely take over his targets during the season. Dell is coming back from a serious knee injury but was productive before the injury and can be a late round pick if he rejoins the starting lineup. Noel could be an option in some deeper leagues but will not be a starting fantasy option.

Houston Texans WR Jayden Higgins has looked bigger and faster this offseason, and head coach DeMeco Ryans said he expects a terrific season from Higgins in 2026.
Huddle Up: Higgins should be the No. 3 receiver for the Texans this upcoming season once Tank Dell returns to the lineup. He will likely see a handful of targets each game and can be a No. 4 or No. 5 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud completed 20-of-47 passes for 212 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions in the AFC Divisional Round playoff game loss to the New England Patriots. Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud completed 21 of 32 passes for 250 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in a 30-6 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wild Card Weekend. WR Christian Kirk tallied eight receptions (on nine targets) for 144 yards and a score. WR Jayden Higgins finished with three catches for 39 yards, and WR Xavier Hutchinson managed 21 yards on two grabs. WR Jaylin Noel was targeted once but did not have a catch. Houston Texans WR Jayden Higgins caught two of five targets for 23 yards and a touchdown in a Week 18 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
Huddle Up: Higgins finishes his rookie season with 41 receptions for 525 yards and six touchdowns among 68 targets. Right now he's at-best a flex option heading into 2026 depending upon how the Texans address their receiving corpse.

Houston Texans WRs Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel are likely to see increased offensive snaps in Week 18's game versus the Indianapolis Colts, as a result of WR Nico Collins (rest) being held out of action, in the opinion of NFL Network's Jane Slater.
Huddle Up: The Texans have already clinched the No. 4 seed in the AFC playoffs as winners of the AFC South, so there is little incentive for Houston to play their starters this afternoon. Higgins and Noel both scored touchdowns against the Chargers in Week 17 and have a favorable matchup against a Colts defense that will be missing CB Sauce Gardner (calf), making them worthy of consideration as potential flex options in deeper fantasy leagues.

Houston Texans WR Jayden Higgins caught two passes, including a 75-yard touchdown, in a 20-16 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 17.
Huddle Up: Higgins has been quiet in recent weeks, but the long touchdown helped him reach a career high in receiving yards in a game. Higgins has looked like Houston's No. 2 receiver at times this year, but he has just four catches and eight targets over the last three games combined. He is a big-play dependent WR4 or WR5.
