Denver Broncos impending free-agent FS Justin Simmons hinted that he would be unlikely to sit out offseason workouts if the team places the franchise tag on him this offseason, which could happen if the two sides are unable to agree to a multiyear contract extension by March 10. Simmons' former agent, Rich Hurtado, was hired by the Broncos last week and put in charge of the organization's salary cap and contract negotiations.
