Baltimore Ravens WR Ja'Kobi Lane has earned a role in the offense with his play in training camp, according to head coach Jesse Minter. "There is consistency of making really contested, nice catches and being a really friendly target for the quarterback," Minter said. "He's certainly starting to see a vision of maybe what he can become in the offense."
Huddle Up: Lane looks poised to open the year as Baltimore's No. 3 receiver, and if he continues to excel, he could certainly surpass Rashod Bateman in the pecking order. His ability to make contested catches could come in handy in the red zone, and while consistent production is not a guarantee with Lane, he is worth scooping up in the later rounds, especially in deeper leagues.

Baltimore Ravens WR Ja'Kobi Lane has been the "star" of training camp, in the opinion of ESPN's Jamison Hensley, who writes that Lane has become the team's No. 3 receiver behind WRs Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.
Huddle Up: Outside of Flowers, the Ravens haven't had much success developing receivers, so if Lane continues to excel that could be a huge boost for Lamar Jackson and the offense in general. Fantasy owners needn't adjust their draft plans just yet -- don't forget that DeAndre Hopkins finished second among the Ravens' receivers in 2025 with 330 yards -- but given how effusive the praise has been for Lane, it's at least a name to file away.

Baltimore Ravens third-round pick WR Ja'Kobi Lane's size, catch radius and wingspan could make him a weapon in the red zone.
Huddle Up: He's fourth on the depth chart right now, but there's a lane to rising as high as WR2 for the team. Keep an eye on him in camp and consider him a late-round flyer in fantasy drafts.

Baltimore Ravens WR Ja'Kobi Lane was a pick that differed from public opinion, but general manager Eric DeCosta likes what he saw in the evaluation process, and Lane had a connection to a former Baltimore great. "Our board is our board. We do months of work, and sometimes our evaluations differ from public consensus. Lane is a big receiver -- 6'4", ran a 4.46, excellent at contested catches with great hands," DeCosta said. "He has a connection through Todd Heap. We think he can be a real weapon for Lamar, especially adding big-bodied jump-ball guys after losing some speed."
Huddle Up: The Ravens have Rashod Bateman, Zay Flowers and Tez Walker at the top of the depth chart, while holdover LaJohntay Wester and fellow rookie Elijah Sarratt will be battling Lane for the No. 4 job on the depth chart following the departures of DeAndre Hopkins and Tylan Wallace. Lane isn't likely to have an immediately fantasy role in most leagues from the jump, but he is a player worth monitoring, and he has some value in long-term keeper formats.

USC WR Ja'Kobi Lane was selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the 80th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: Lane will be Baltimore's latest attempt at finding a reliable No. 2 receiver to pair with Zay Flowers, and while success is far from a guarantee, Lane is in solid position to produce as a rookie. If he can take advantage of the opportunity, Lane could prove to be a steal as a a second-round pick in rookie drafts.

He turned in a 4.47-second time in the 40-yard dash, while recording a 40-inch vertical leap. He remains in the mix as one of the better Day 2 receiver options.
