Las Vegas Raiders RB Mike Washington Jr. is expected to be used quite a bit on offense this season after showing he can handle an extended workload during the preseason, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Ryan McFadden.
Huddle Up: Ashton Jeanty will receive a majority of the work at running back this season, but it seems like Washington has earned a bigger role in the offense with his production in the preseason. He can be a late round pick in fantasy leagues with the chance to be a possible flex option if he continues to play well.

Las Vegas Raiders RB Mike Washington Jr. rushed eight times for 49 yards during the preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers Thursday, Aug. 27.
Huddle Up: Washington looked sharp throughout the preseason, rushing for 168 yards on 23 carries. The rookie has established himself as the clear No. 2 option in the Las Vegas backfield, and with Ashton Jeanty recovering from an ankle injury, there is a chance Washington starts the opener. At worst, Washington has become a must-own handcuff, and he may even carve out flex value alongside Jeanty.

Las Vegas Raiders RB Mike Washington Jr. carried the ball nine times for a game-high 56 yards against the Houston Texans on Thursday, Aug. 20. Washington also caught a pair of passes for 18 yards.
Huddle Up: While Ashton Jeanty will be the starter, don't dismiss the idea that Washington will have a meaningful role. Head coach Klint Kubiak oversaw the Seahawks combination of Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet last year, and Washington is part of the first draft class that Kubiak has been involved with. A year ago, the Raiders didn't have a viable backup. Right now, Washington is stating his case to see snaps as a rookie. There's definite late-round value here as a handcuff stash for Jeanty owners, but even you don't draft Jeanty, those looking to take a flier on a back with a little upside in the final rounds should consider Washington.

Las Vegas Raiders RB Mike Washington Jr. rushed six times for 63 yards in the preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals Thursday, Aug. 13.
Huddle Up: Ashton Jeanty is going to handle a bulk of the backfield touches, but Washington certainly made a case to be the next man up. If Washington emerges as the primary backup to Jeanty, he will be worth stashing as a handcuff in deeper formats.

Las Vegas Raiders RB Mike Washington Jr. reportedly received occasional first-team reps at running back during the Raiders' offseason training program, according to a source on Tuesday, July 21.
Huddle Up: The fourth-round rookie Washington is firmly behind Ashton Jeanty in the Raiders' running back hierarchy, but could spell Jeanty on occasion this season. The fantasy value for Washington lies in a contingency-based role, where Washington would be a front-runner for carries if Jeanty were to go down. In deeper fantasy leagues, you can draft him as a stash, but if Jeanty goes down, Washington would likely be a huge waiver-wire addition for the next week in fantasy football.

Las Vegas Raiders RB Mike Washington Jr. is expected to receive a decent amount of snaps this upcoming season even though RB Ashton Jeanty will receive a heavy workload, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Ryan McFadden.
Huddle Up: Washington will likely receive a handful of touches each game and could see some work in the passing game. He can be a late round pick in fantasy leagues but is unlikely to be a starting option unless Jeanty suffers an injury.

Las Vegas Raiders RB Mike Washington Jr. should have a chance to earn a solid role as a change-of-pace back for the Raiders during his rookie season, in the opinion of Raiders.com's Levi Edwards.
Huddle Up: Ashton Jeanty will be the starting running back for the Raiders, but Washington could see a handful of touches each game if he performs well. He can be a late round addition in deeper fantasy leagues but will not be a starting option unless Jeanty suffers an injury at some point.

Arkansas RB Mike Washington Jr. was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the 122nd overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: Washington will be behind Ashton Jeanty on the depth chart but could see some touches during the game if he is the No. 2 running back. Fantasy players can monitor his progress during training camp because Washington could be a late-round pick in some deeper leagues.
