Updating previous reports, undrafted free-agent WR Jeff Caldwell (Cincinnati), WR Jacob DeJesus (California), WR Omari Evans (University of Washington), TE John Michael Gyllenborg (Wyoming), RB Jaydn Ott (Oklahoma) and RB E.J. Smith (Texas A&M) officially signed with the Kansas City Chiefs Friday, May 1. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Oklahoma RB Jaydn Ott, an undrafted free agent, is signing with the Kansas City Chiefs, a source said Saturday, April 25. DeMarco Murray, a former Sooners standout, and running backs coach from 2020-25, is the current Chiefs RB coach, so he gets his guy.
Huddle Up: Ott will have plenty of competition, as the team brought in Kenneth Walker III as a free agent, while Brashard Smith and new addition Emari Demercado will battle for backup duties. Ott is likely to face competition from Emmett Johnson and ShunDerrick Powell, as he attempts to make the roster. No fantasy value here yet, but he is a name to remember down the road.

Oklahoma RB Jaydn Ott rushed for 42 yards at the Senior Bowl, more than he had in all but one game this season with the Sooners, and he had a touchdown on eight carries. He also reportedly showed good pass-protection skills.
