Philadelphia Eagles TE Eli Stowers played 19 offensive snaps, of 43 percent of the plays, in the preseason opener Saturday, Aug. 15, against the Baltimore Ravens. He had three receptions for 12 yards on three targets.
Huddle Up: Stowers is making a big to serve as the primary backup to Dallas Goedert, so pay close attention. He is trying to hold off veterans Grant Calcaterra and Johnny Mundt for the No. 2 TE job in Philly. With Goedert's injury history, Stowers could have fantasy value sooner rather than later. He's not worth drafting in most leagues just yet, but monitor him closely.

Philadelphia Eagles TE Eli Stowers caught all three of his targets for 12 yards in the preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens Saturday, Aug. 15.
Huddle Up: It remains to be seen if Stowers can carve out a steady role as a rookie, but he has the skills to be a weapon in the passing game. He is worth keeping an eye on early in the season, and he is a solid stash in dynasty formats in case he becomes the eventual replacement for Dallas Goedert.

Philadelphia Eagles TE Eli Stowers has rare athleticism, according to head coach Nick Sirianni. "He does some things that no one else can do," Sirianni said. "Just to be able to create mismatches with him. He is a tough cover, catches everything, good after the catch, speed, quickness. Really excited to have him."
Huddle Up: Given his athletic tools, Stowers could see some work in the red zone as a rookie. Ultimately, his value depends on whether or not he becomes the heir apparent to Dallas Goedert. There is some long-term upside with Stowers, and he is worth grabbing in all dynasty formats.

Vanderbilt TE Eli Stowers was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 54th overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: Stowers may not have a big role as a rookie with Dallas Goedert back with the Eagles, but he has a chance to become their long-term starter at the position. He will not be a strong fantasy option in 2026 but can be a solid option in keeper leagues.
