Green Bay Packers TE Robert Tonyan caught 52 of his 59 targets and did not record a drop in 2020. In addition, Aaron Rodgers recorded a passer rating of 147.6 when targeting Tonyan.
Huddle Up: The passer rating was obviously boosted by the fact that 11 of Tonyan's 52 catches went for touchdowns. However, there is something to be said for any player who doesn't drop any of his 59 targets and finds a way to score 11 times. Assuming Rodgers eventually makes nice with Green Bay's front office and gives himself a bit of time to work on his chemistry with Tonyan, last year's breakout tight end should remain firmly in the mid-range TE1 discussion.

Green Bay Packers TE Robert Tonyan is expected to be featured more often in the offense this season, according to recent comments made by head coach Matt LaFleur.
Huddle Up: This is welcome news for his current and future fantasy managers. While Tonyan finished as the overall TE3 in PPR leagues last season, he did so primarily on the strength of 11 touchdown catches (on only 52 receptions). It's unrealistic to believe he can keep that pace up for another year. Given LaFleur's comments, it seems reasonable that Tonyan will push for 70 catches in 2021, which would keep him firmly in the mid-TE1 conversation.

Green Bay Packers restricted free-agent TE Robert Tonyan signed a one-year tender that was worth $3.384 million. Most of that was treated as a signing bonus, and they tacked on four voidable years to save close to $1.9 million in salary cap space.
Huddle Up: Tonyan broke out with a 52-586-11 season last year, but his value largely hinges to whether Aaron Rodgers is throwing to him. He'll be a midrange TE1 with bust potential.

Green Bay Packers restricted free-agent TE Robert Tonyan was tendered at the second-round level Tuesday, March 16. The tender is expected to be worth $3.384 million.
Huddle Up: It pretty much guarantees Tonyan will be back with Green Bay and is welcome news for fantasy owners after seeing some high-profile free-agent tight ends lose fantasy value during the legal tampering period. Tonyan could easily be a top-five tight end again in 2021 if he can maintain his incredible touchdown rate, which is a strong possibility if Green Bay doesn't add anyone of note at receiver opposite Davante Adams.

Green Bay Packers restricted free-agent TE Robert Tonyan likely will receive the second-round tender offer this offseason.
Huddle Up: Tonyan was a solid contributor in the passing game this season and should have a similar role next season. He can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in most fantasy leagues.

Green Bay Packers TE Robert Tonyan was the only tight end to have 50 or more receptions without a drop in 2020.
Huddle Up: Tonyan finished with 11 receiving touchdowns, tying him for the most among tight ends and fifth in the NFL. While he might not pile up as many yards as some other players at the position, his nose for the end zone should keep him firmly in the TE1 mix in 2021.

Green Bay Packers TE Robert Tonyan had one reception for 17 yards against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Dec. 27.
Huddle Up: It was a bad time for Tonyan to author one of his quietest games of the season and break his five-game TD streak -- Rodgers did look for him in the end zone but the throw sailed just out of his reach. One of his better games of the year came against Chicago (5-67-1) in the first meeting between the teams, though, and Tonyan should be playable again as a TE1 in the season finale.

Green Bay Packers TE Robert Tonyan caught all three of his targets for 18 yards and a touchdown in Week 15 versus the Carolina Panthers.
Huddle Up: Tonyan came up just short of the end zone on his first catch of the game on the opening drive. Aaron Rodgers made sure the big man got his score on the next play though with a quick 1-yard hook-up on a rub route. The touchdown was Tonyan's 10th of the season - more than any other tight end in the league entering Sunday's action. The Indiana State product's consistent touchdown production has made him a solid TE1 in fantasy in recent months, and he needs to be treated as such in Week 16 versus the Tennessee Titans.

Green Bay Packers TE Robert Tonyan finished with five receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown on five targets Sunday, Dec. 13, at the Detroit Lions in Week 14.
Huddle Up: The scoring streak was extended to four games, and the Packers have a meeting with the Carolina Panthers in Week 15. It's a top-10 matchup for the position, and there's no reason to get away from Tonyan in his breakthrough season.
