New England Patriots WR Kendrick Bourne caught six of his 11 targets for 64 yards and two touchdowns in a 25-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1.
Huddle Up: Bourne tied for the team lead in catches and receiving yards while logging a team-high 11 targets. DeVante Parker's absence may have bolstered Bourne's usage, but he looked like Mac Jones' favorite in the opener. Bourne is worth an early add.

New England Patriots WR Kendrick Bourne caught passes on the first two plays of the team's Aug. 19 preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, continuing what has been a solid offseason for him. "He had a good spring. That spring led into having a good training camp. He's done very well in all phases of the game. He's played multiple spots, caught the ball well, blocked well. He's had a good camp," head coach Bill Belichick said of Bourne.
Huddle Up: In an offense that expects to use 12 personnel (one back, two tight ends, two receivers) at a fairly high rate in 2023, it is hard to see a path to regular snaps for Bourne after DeVante Parker and JuJu Smith-Schuster both got paid this offseason. With that said, Mike Gesicki's mostly quiet camp - before his shoulder injury last week - may be just what Bourne needs to get the playing time he wants. Bourne does not need to be drafted in most leagues, but he needs to be on watch lists in deeper leagues.

New England Patriots WR Kendrick Bourne caught four passes for 45 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 18. He was targeted five times during the game.

New England Patriots WR Tyquan Thornton played 56 of the team's 60 offensive snaps in Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins, which equates to 93 percent. Next up was WR Jakobi Meyers, playing 49 of the snaps (82 percent), then WR Kendrick Bourne with 28 snaps (47 percent).
Huddle Up: Thornton showed out with three grabs, 60 yards and a touchdown on seven targets, and he could operate as the WR1 heading into Week 18 against the Buffalo Bills, especially with Meyers aggravating a shoulder injury late in the Dolphins game. Thornton could be a sneaky WR4 or flex option in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams in the finale, and he is also an attractive DFS option.
