San Francisco 49ers WR Richie James was good for four receptions for 56 yards on seven targets in Week 15 against the Dallas Cowboys, but he also lost a fumble.
Huddle Up: James has shown some glimpses of brilliance at times, but fantasy owners shouldn't bother with him outside of the deepest fantasy leagues. The 49ers visit the Cardinals in Week 16, moving from the home locker room to the road side of State Farm Stadium, their temporary home due to COVID-19 restrictions in Santa Clara Co., Calif.

San Francisco 49ers WR Richie James was good for three grabs and 26 yards on five targets in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints, and he also lost a fumble.
Huddle Up: James burst onto the scene with nine grabs for 184 yards and a touchdown last Thursday against Green Bay, but he crashed back to Earth hard in this one. He remains nothing more than a fantasy option for those in deeper leagues. The 49ers are off in Week 11.

San Francisco 49ers WR Richie James finished with nine catches for 184 yards a touchdown in Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers - the best day by a San Francisco receiver since Anquan Boldin produced 208 yards against the Packers in 2013. As a result, 'he has earned the right to get on the field to become a more significant contributor,' according to NBC Bay Area's Matt Maiocco.

San Francisco 49ers WRs Richie James caught nine passes for 184 yards and a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Nov. 5. He was targeted a team-high 13 times.
Huddle Up: Normally the team's No. 4 receiver, James was Mullens' top target Thursday night, connecting with him on several big plays. Granted, most of it came late against Green Bay's reserves, but it was still an encouraging performance. Whether that means anything come Week 10 is debatable, though, and almost certainly hinges on the statuses of Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and Kendrick Bourne.

San Francisco 49ers WR Richie James on Thursday, Sept. 3, was activated off the Non-Football Injury list.
Huddle Up: Even with all the wide receiver health question marks on the team, James is still expected to focus primarily on kick returns and not have any usable fantasy WR value. He caught 6-of-10 targets for 165 yards and a TD a season ago.
