Updating a previous report, Houston Texans CB M.J. Stewart's two-year deal is worth a maximum of $7.5 million, with $3 million guaranteed and a $1.5 million signing bonus. His base salaries total $1.5 million in 2023 and $2.5 million in 2024. The deal also includes a $250,000 max in per game active roster bonuses and a $750,000 annual playtime incentive.

Houston Texans C Jimmy Morrissey (concussion) and TE Teagan Quitoriano (thigh) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 17 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. RB Dare Ogunbowale (knee) was limited in practice for a second consecutive day on Friday, Dec. 30, and is listed as questionable. OL Kenyon Green (ankle), OL Justin McCray (hamstring), DB M.J. Stewart (concussion) and OT Tytus Howard (concussion) practiced in full Friday and no longer appear on the injury report. WR Brandin Cooks (personal) was not given a practice designation Friday but is expected to play.
