Free-agent RB Adrian Peterson (Seahawks) will make a formal announcement on his career at the end of March or early April, he told CBS Sports' Josina Anderson on Sunday, March 12. Peterson did not play in a game in 2022.

Free-agent RB Adrian Peterson (Seahawks) hopes to play again in 2022, he said in a recent press conference for an upcoming boxing match with fellow free-agent RB, Le'Veon Bell.

Huddle Up: The 37-year-old's best days are long behind him, as we saw last season during his stints with the Titans and Seahawks. Peterson may latch on with another team in 2022, but it's highly doubtful he'll have any fantasy relevance.

Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner said he expects RB Adrian Peterson to catch 50-60 passes out of the backfield in 2014.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: This is obviously something that would make Peterson more attractive in PPR leagues as the RB has averaged only 29 catches a year over the last 3 seasons.

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson is happy with the hiring of offensive coordinator Norv Turner and called him 'the perfect guy to lead us and get us on the right path.' The Vikings were ranked 23rd in the league in passing offense last year, and they were ranked 31st in the league in 2012. 'I'll tell you, our pass offense has really struggled in the past couple years,' Peterson told USA Today Sports. 'I think (Turner) is going to be the perfect guy to come in and get us on the right path.'

Huddle Up: Of course left unsaid here is the Vikings need a competent QB to run Turner's offense and take some of the burden off Peterson. Turner has had that in previous stops in Dallas (Troy Aikman) and San Diego (Philip Rivers) but most definitely didn't in most recent gig last season with the Browns.

Adrian Peterson rushed 20 times for 75 yards and 2 TDs Thursday, Nov. 7 in a 34- 27 win over the Washington Redskins.

Huddle Up: The NFL's reigning MVP took over the league lead in rushing yards (786) and TDs (9), and after a two-game TD-less lull, AD has now found the end zone 4 times over the past 3 games.

Chicago running back Adrian Peterson underwent an emergency appendectomy that will sideline the Bears runner for the remainder of this weeks organized team activities. "I don't think it quite ruptured," running backs coach Tim Spencer said. "They got it on time, so that will mean less time [out] for him."

Huddle Up: With the release of Cedric Benson earlier in the week, the Bears are counting on Adrian Peterson and rookie Matt Forte to carry the load for Chicago. It appears likely that Peterson will return from this procedure and take the field again within two weeks baring any complications. Fantasy owners should consider running backs Adrian Peterson and Matt Forte both potential No. 3 running backs at the present time. If one or the other seperate themselves as the primary runner during training camp then upgrade the Chicago starter to a No. 2 fantasy back for 2008.

The Chicago Bears have their own version of Adrian Peterson and he outperformed his Minnesota counterpart in Week 16 as the Bears dumped the Packers 35-7. The Bears Adrian Peterson carried the ball 30 times for 102 yards and 1 touchdown while also catching 1 pass for 16 yards.

Huddle Up: Peterson has filled in admireably in the Bears offense this year for the lackluster Cedric Benson who was lost for the season. As the Bears head into the offseason after their last game against the New Orleans Saints expect some big shake-ups on this team especially in the offensive backfield for 2008.

Third-string RB Adrian Peterson stands to receive a number of carries in the Bears' regular-season finale on Sunday at Minnesota. Thomas Jones, the team's No. 1 RB, is likely to receive limited touches in what has become a rather meaningless game for the Bears now that they've sewn up a first-round bye in the playoffs. In addition, the team's No. 2 RB, rookie RB Cedric Benson, said on Tuesday that his injured knee isn't sufficiently healed for him to play against the Vikings.

Huddle Up: It's hard to bank on a non-starter, especially for the final week of fantasy play, but Peterson offers too much potential to overlook. He posted 120 yards and a TD in his first and only start this season on Nov. 13 against the (ahem) 49ers, and one would think that 60-70 yards and a TD plunge is not out of the question against the Vikings.

Anthony Thomas' injury replacement didn't make it through the entire game Sunday before exiting with an injury of his own. Peterson left the game with a sprained ankle in the fourth quarter. His status for next week in unknown at this time.
