Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman (concussion, shoulder) is expected to play in Week 17's game versus the Las Vegas Raiders after clearing concussion protocol.
Huddle Up: Pittman had been listed as questionable on the injury report after logging one limited practice session and two full sessions during the week. He is the main option in Indianapolis' passing game and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues if active.

The Denver Broncos have announced they have placed RB Michael Pittman (neck) and Andre Hall (hand) on Injured Reserve, ending their 2008 season.

Huddle Up: This really clears up the Denver running situation, since Ryan Torain and Selvin are the only healthy Bronco running backs available. Since Torain is the fresher of the two, Denver could give him more of the carries as the season moves forward.

The Rocky Mountain News report Denver Broncos RB Michael Pittman aggravated a neck stinger and was forced from the team's Week 9 game in the first quarter. Pittman had previously seen a specialist after suffering the injury in Week 7. "I don't know if I'm going to play next week or when I'm going to play. I'm very frustrated right now," Pittman said. "I've just got to find out what's really wrong with me."

Huddle Up: The Denver running game struggled mightily against the Dolphins, with Ryan Torain and Andre Hall getting carries in addition to Pittman. Mike Shanahan has no qualms about rotating through a committee of backs, so if Pittman is sidelined for any length of time we'll see Torain, Hall, Selvin Young, and maybe even a little more of fullback Peyton Hillis as well.

Denver Broncos RB Michael Pittman (ribs) practiced in full Wednesday, Oct. 29, but he said he will play in Week 9. He should get the starting nod again for the game.

Huddle Up: Pittman may get the start for Denver but fantasy owners should expect only a split of the carries as rookie Ryan Torain is in line to make his debut for the Broncos. Look for Denver to utilize a running back committee until it becomes clear that one runner distances himself from the rest since Shanahan changes running backs like most people change their socks. Temper your expectations for any Bronco running back this season.

Denver Broncos RB Michael Pittman received 20 carries in Week 6 while RB Andre Hall, his primary backup, didn't receive any. Pittman played well and has likely earned another start. Head coach Mike Shanahan has also indicated Pittman will remain the everydown back when RB Selvin Young (groin) returns.

Huddle Up: There's a good chance Young won't be back this week and Pittman will once again shoulder the load. However, he's a risky play on the road against a New England defense that was humiliated by Philip Rivers and the Chargers in Week 6.

The Associated Press reports Denver Broncos RB Michael Pittman rushed for 109 yards on 20 carries in the team's Week 6 game. He was the Broncos' first 100-yard rusher in the past eight games.

Huddle Up: Pittman appears to be the most consistent running back in the Denver backfield but despite the nice performance Denver still lost to the Jaguars 24-17. Fantasy owners should consider Pittman a solid No. 2 running back but keep in mind that rookie Ryan Torain is getting closer to returning to action and could take over as the primary runner in the near future.

Denver Broncos RB Andre Hall (wrist) practiced Thursday, Oct. 2. He should be ready for Week 5, but the team would feel comfortable giving RB Michael Pittman some more plays if Hall struggles with ball security because of his wrist.

Huddle Up: Pittman is already the most valuable fantasy entity in the Broncos backfield based on his goal line work, and a few more carries certainly wouldn't hurt. That said, good luck predicting what Mike Shanahan will do.

Michael Pittman had seven carries for 13 yards with two touchdowns during the team's Week 1 game.

Huddle Up: While Fantasy owners of Broncos passing game players have to be excited, anyone with a Denver running back has to be pulling his hair out. This is Running Back By Committe in its most heinous form. All we can suggest is if you have a Bronco RB, don't start him unless your other running back matchups are terrible.

Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan said RB Michael Pittman (hamstring) was dealing with a tight hamstring Wednesday, July 30.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: This does not seem like a big concern at the present time but it is certainly something to keep a watch on as Pittman could be used in a full back role in the Denver offense this season. He also provides some depth for a running back committee that seems to constantly change on a weekly basis.

The Denver Broncos have signed veteran running back Michael Pittman to a 1-year contract for the 2008 season. "There's a lot of ways Michael can help the Broncos," agent Drew Rosenhaus said. "He can play fullback, halfback, he can catch the ball out of the backfield, return punts and return kicks. He's a versatile back."

Huddle Up: The addition of Pittman gives the Broncos another veteran running back to add to the mix with starter Travis Henry and Selvin Young. Henry has been battling a hamstring injury that has caused him to be limited in OTA's this offseason. Fantasy owners should continue to tread cautiously with the Denver running back situation since coach Shanahan changes starting running backs in the Denver offense almost on a weekly basis.
