Huddle Up: Both played for the Louisville Kings of the UFL this spring. Black played in one game for the New York Jets in 2021. Jackson played in three games for the Minnesota Vikings in 2023.

Minnesota TE Bryson Nesbit and WRs Dontae Fleming, Lucky Jackson, Jeshaun Jones and Thayer Thomas were waived on Tuesday, Aug. 26. TEs Nick Vannett and Giovanni Ricci were released. In addition, FB C.J. Ham (ankle) was designated for return from the Reserve/Injured list and TE Gavin Bartholomew (back) was placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.

Minnesota Vikings WRs Tai Felton and Lucky Jackson are battling for the No. 3 wide receiver job to open the season, with WR Jordan Addison suspended for three games. The team could also look outside of the organization for help.
Huddle Up: Jordan Jefferson is the unquestioned No. 1 wide receiver, and it is expected Jalen Nailor will line up as the other starter, but when the team goes to a three-wideout set, Felton or Jackson could factor in. Whomever wins the No. 3 job would have temporary fantasy appeal as a WR5 only in fantasy leagues of 14 or more teams.

Minnesota Vikings WR Lucky Jackson was promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster on Saturday, Jan. 6. In addition, WR Jalen Nailor (concussion) was placed on injured reserve and CBs Jaylin Williams and Joejuan Williams were elevated from the practice squad for Week 18.
