New York Jets QB Zach Wilson is reportedly still very much in the mix to start in 2023, according to team owner Woody Johnson. However, Johnson told reporters Thursday, Jan. 12, that he would "absolutely" be prepared to pay up for a quarterback this offseason.

New York Jets QB Zach Wilson will compete for the starting job next season, according to head coach Robert Saleh. Saleh said he expects Wilson's play to take a big jump next season.
Huddle Up: Wilson was benched during the 2022 season and likely will have to compete with at least other one quarterback during training camp. Wilson has not posted great numbers since joining the NFL and would be a No. 2 fantasy QB if he wins the job.

New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas is not expected to shop QB Zach Wilson to other teams this offseason, according to multiple sources. Wilson would be difficult to trade because he is in the second year of a four-year, $35.2 million deal that is fully guaranteed and any club interested in acquiring him would have to take on the remainder of his contract.
Huddle Up: With the Jets still in playoff contention, Wilson will be declared inactive for Week 17's game against the Seattle Seahawks in favor of Mike White, who can be viewed as a starting option in two-quarterback fantasy leagues. At this point, Wilson is not worth rostering outside of deeper dynasty formats.

New York Jets QB Zach Wilson is expected to be let go in 2023. "Expect the Jets to move on from [Wilson] after this season," FOX Sports' Jay Glazer said on Saturday, Dec. 24.
Huddle Up: This move wouldn't be shocking at all, as Wilson looks cooked in New York after showing nothing over two seasons and losing the team in 2022. Wilson will be inactive in Week 17, and barring injury, that'll probably be the case in Week 18, also, which means he might've played his last snaps with Gang Green. The Jets will likely try to trade him first, but no matter how they part ways with the former No. 2 overall pick, he'll likely latch on with another team that hopes it can turn him around. Unfortunately, there has been nothing to suggest that's even remotely possible for the BYU product. Wilson is certainly a drop candidate in dynasty formats in 2023 for fantasy owners who haven't done so already. Mike White will take the reins from here and is a QB2 moving forward, while Joe Flacco will serve as the backup.

New Yok Jets QB Zach Wilson was benched Thursday, Dec. 22, in the 19-3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, and head coach Robert Saleh was non-committal Friday on Wilson's status as the starter moving forward.
Huddle Up: This shouldn't come as a surprise considering how poorly Wilson has played. He hasn't been very fantasy relevant this season, and there's a chance his time with the Jets is coming to an end.

New York Jets QB Zach Wilson completed nine of his 18 passes for 92 yards and an interception before being replaced by QB Chris Streveler in a 19-3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16.
Huddle Up: The Jets amassed almost no offense while Wilson was under center, and after this latest benching, Wilson may not start again this season. Even if he does end up back under center, he has no business being a fantasy starter in any format.

New York Jets QB Zach Wilson will start in Week 16 as QB Mike White (ribs) won't be cleared for contact.
Huddle Up: Wilson is only a depth piece in two-QB leagues and really doesn't belong in lineups.

New York Jets QB Zach Wilson is in line to start again in Week 16 as QB Mike White (ribs) has several hurdles to overcome to return.
Huddle Up: Wilson helped the Jets' offense lose all the steam White has breathed into it and offers no fantasy value.

New York Jets QB Zach Wilson completed 18-of-35 passes for 317 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Week 15 against the Detroit Lions while rushing for seven yards.

New York Jets QB Zach Wilson will start in place of QB Mike White (ribs) in Week 15.
Huddle Up: White really provided this team a spark, but it fizzles out with Wilson back under center. Expect a healthy dosage of Zonovan Knight as an RB2, and Wilson isn't worth consideration outside of two-QB league depth.
