Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Sean Tucker appears to be in line to be the No. 3 back behind RBs Bucky Irving (shoulder) and newcomer Kenneth Gainwell. "Right now, Bucky is on track to be ready to go. I think the combination of Kenny and Bucky are very similar as far as the skill set. Weight, size, all that," running backs coach Skip Peete said. "They're both capable of running the ball and running routes, catching and all that. They're not very large people, but they're willing pass protectors. Sean has continued to improve. He flashes sometimes, and he does a good job, and I think he will continue to get better."
Huddle Up: Tucker had a prominent role at times in 2025, and he had 106 rushing yards and two touchdown, with one receiving score, in a game at Buffalo on Nov. 16 in a starting role. He can be explosive when given the chance, but he is well down the depth chart. If you have the roster flexibility, he is worth a look in the final rounds when looking for depth, especially if you select Irving and/or Gainwell earlier in the draft.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Zac Robinson told the media that RB Bucky Irving and RB Kenneth Gainwell, "can kind of match each other in certain ways with what they can do in the pass game."
Huddle Up: The Bucs' backfield is hard to project with the injection of Gainwell into the mix. Irving remains a very optimistic choice in the backfield, but the arrival of Gainwell does complicate things. Irving can be an RB2 or flex option, while Gainwell remains a flex option as well.

Free-agent RB Kenneth Gainwell (Steelers) officially signed a two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Thursday, March 12, worth a reported $14 million.
Huddle Up: Gainwell is unlikely to start with Bucky Irving on the roster, but he should have a good role in both the running and passing game. He is coming off a terrific 2025 season and can be a No. 3 running back in some fantasy leagues.

Impending free-agent RB Kenneth Gainwell (Steelers) agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Monday, March 9, worth $14 million, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Gainwell will share playing time with Bucky Irving in 2026 and should have a role in the passing game. He will be a valuable option in fantasy leagues and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 running back for players.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent RB Kenneth Gainwell could be a target for the Jacksonville Jaguars if the team does not re-sign impending free-agent RB Travis Etienne, according to Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com.
Huddle Up: Although Bhayshul Tuten will likely have an opportunity to lead the backfield if Etienne signs elsewhere, it would make sense for the Jaguars to add a veteran back, especially one with the receiving skills of Gainwell.

Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan has spoken with RB Kenneth Gainwell and told the media at the NFL Scouting Combine, "he knows we want him back."
Huddle Up: Gainwell became a dynamic piece on the Pittsburgh offense in 2026 and accumulated 1,023 total yards and eight touchdowns. His coming back to the Steelers would mean he would likely fill the same role he had, which would make him an interesting flex option for the 2026 season.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers connected on 17 of his 33 passing attempts for 146 yards, zero touchdowns, and an interception in a loss to the Houston Texans on Wild Card Weekend. Rodgers was sacked four times and fumbled twice, losing one. RB Jaylen Warren had 12 carries for 43 yards; he added a four-yard reception. RB Kenneth Gainwell picked up 20 yards on six carries, and he also caught four passes for 26 yards. WR DK Metcalf had two receptions for 42 yards; he was targeted five times. WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling logged 26 yards on three receptions. WR Adam Thielen posted two receptions for 25 yards. WR Calvin Austin was held to three catches and eight yards. TE Pat Freiermuth had an 18-yard reception for his lone catch, while TE Jonnu Smith turned two receptions into minus-one yard. LB Patrick Queen led the club with 10 tackles, including seven solo. CB Brandin Echols was credited with three stops and had an interception in the loss.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Kenneth Gainwell had five carries, 10 yards, and a touchdown during the team's Week 18 win over the Baltimore Ravens. Gainwell added eight receptions (on nine targets) for a team-high 64 yards.
Huddle Up: Gainwell was Aaron Rodgers' most popular target on Sunday night, and his work after the catch helped keep the offense moving. The team's decision to get Gainwell more involved on offense was critical to their improvement late in the year, and he should be heavily involved as a check-down target in an effort to blunt the Texans' pass rush. Gainwell would be a nice flex play during the Wild Card round for DFS players.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Kenneth Gainwell carried seven times for 26 yards in a Week 17 loss to the Cleveland Browns. He caught three of four targets for 12 yards.
Huddle Up: Gainwell couldn't shake loose on the ground (130 rush yards the last two weeks) but he posted 3+ receptions for the sixth time in the last seven games (36 receptions, three touchdowns). Gainwell has certainly made a name for himself in fantasy with his two-way potential this season and should be a low-end draft pick next season and a handcuff for Jaylen Warren.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Kenneth Gainwell rushed nine times for 50 yards in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions, while adding five receptions for a game-high 78 yards and a touchdown on seven targets.
Huddle Up: Gainwell has emerged as a huge part of the Pittsburgh offense, especially catching the ball out of the backfield. He has five or more receptions in three in a row, and five of the past six games. He is a strong low-end RB2 or flex fantasy option in PPR leagues right now, while he has slightly lesser fantasy appeal in standard formats.
