Atlanta Falcons S Billy Bowman Jr. (Achilles) is attempting to win his starting spot back in the nickel defense after suffering a torn Achilles tendon. He was unable to take part in organized team activities (OTAs), but he is expected to be back for training camp. Whether he returns to starter status remains to be seen, however. S Darnay Holmes, a free-agent addition, was on the field a lot during OTAs with Bowman missing, and second-round draft pick Avieon Terrell could have a spot open up as a result of Bowman's slow recovery.

Atlanta Falcons LB Bralen Trice (knee) was cleared for all organized team activities, and he "looked excellent", according to defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich. Trice is making his way back from torn anterior cruciate ligaments in the preseason in both 2024 and 2025.
