Adding more context to a previous report, Las Vegas Raiders WR Henry Ruggs III is expected to begin his pro career as the primary slot receiver ahead of Hunter Renfrow, according to comments made by offensive coordinator Greg Olson.
'We'll start with Ruggs III in the slot and do some things with Ruggs. But those guys (Ruggs and Bryan Edwards) are very multiple in what they can do and that's the goal is to be able to move all of them around to different spots; the one, two or three position at the wide receiver,' Olson said recently.
Huddle Up: The move makes some sense in that Ruggs occasionally struggled against press coverage in the SEC, making it difficult to show off his speed and run-after-catch ability versus top-flight corners. Working out of the slot should help him in that regard. On the other hand, Renfrow was clearly the Raiders' top wideout at the end of last season, but he lacks the size and athleticism to thrive on the perimeter consistently - meaning he may not be one of the team's top three receivers. Assuming Ruggs is the primary slot in 2020, he could easily return WR3 value in fantasy, while Renfrow may struggle to be a WR5.

Oakland Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow had 23 receptions for 344 yards and three touchdowns on third downs during his rookie season, and 70 percent of those catches resulted in first downs. Head coach John Gruden called Renfrow a 'special' player after he closed the year with 13 catches and 209 yards over the final two weeks.
Huddle Up: There are a lot of question marks for the Raiders entering 2020, but Renfrow appears entrenched in the slot and could muster some real fantasy appeal, particularly in PPR leagues.

Oakland Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow caught seven of his nine targets for 107 yards and a touchdown in a 24-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 16.
Huddle Up: After missing three games with a rib injury, Renfrow picked up where he left off. He's become one of Derek Carr's favorite targets in the second half of the year, and he will have WR3 potential in the finale. Looking ahead to 2020, Renfrow could be a popular sleeper.

Oakland Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow (rib) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 20, and is not on the injury report for Week 16.
Huddle Up: Renfrow has missed the last few games because of the injury but should have a role in the passing game this week. He could be a flex option in some leagues but is not a must-start option.

Oakland Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow (rib) said he is feeling good and ready to pick up where he left off with QB Derek Carr prior to his injury. 'I think we were starting to hit our stride a little bit and it's tough to miss time at that point, but those good things you did don't just go away,' Renfrow said. 'Hopefully we're building something for a while, so we work on things every day at practice and gain confidence from doing that in games.'
Huddle Up: Renfrow had strung together the best four games of his career before suffering an injury against the New York Jets. There's a chance he could return for the final two games, and while the rookie won't have much value in redraft leagues the rest of the way, Renfrow could be worth stashing in keeper leagues.

Oakland Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow (rib) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 19.
Huddle Up: Renfrow appears to have a chance to play in the Week 16 game, but fantasy players will need to check the inactive list for his official status. He was posting decent numbers before the injury but can be avoided this week if better options are available.

Huddle Up: Renfrow has missed the last two games with a fractured rib and punctured lung, but there is optimism that he'll be able to return in Week 15. We'll monitor practice reports as Renfrow is a WR3/flex candidate if he is able to make it back into action.

Oakland Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow (rib) didn't participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 5.
Huddle Up: Renfrow remains likely to miss multiple weeks after puncturing a lung. He's only worth stashing in extremely deep leagues.
