Carolina Panthers QB Will Grier will be the starting quarterback for the team's Week 17 game, according to interim head coach Perry Fewell.
Huddle Up: Grier struggled in his first career start last week and will be facing a tough New Orleans Saints defense in Week 17. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers QB Will Grier completed 27-of-44 passes for 224 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions in Week 16 against the Indianapolis Colts in his first NFL start.
Huddle Up: Grier had a high completion percentage, seeing a lot of short and intermediate routes for safe stuff, but he also made many mistakes. He and the Panthers will wrap up the season in Week 17 against the New Orleans Saints in Charlotte.

Carolina Panthers QB Will Grier will make his first NFL start in Week 16 against the Indianapolis Colts, and the Colts have allowed the seventh-most touchdown passes this season, surrendering four touchdown passes in each of the past two games.
Huddle Up: Trusting Grier during the fantasy playoffs isn't recommended, but with the Colts hemorrhaging yards and touchdowns through the air recently, the rookie could be worth a flier in DFS formats.

Carolina Panthers QB Will Grier was named the team's starting quarterback for the game Sunday, Dec. 22, against the Indianapolis Colts, according to interim head coach Perry Fewell Thursday, Dec. 19.
Huddle Up: The third-round rookie has not seen game action yet this season. He's should only be considered an option in two-quarterback leagues.

Carolina Panthers QB Will Grier is reportedly considered likely to start in Week 16 versus the Indianapolis Colts, according to sources.
Huddle Up: The Panthers have been out of the playoff race for a while, so it makes sense they would want to use the final two weeks of the season to evaluate some of their young talent. Kyle Allen got off to a great start after his early-season promotion, but the wheels have really started to fall off for him of late. Grier was drafted in the third round this spring with an eye toward being Cam Newton's long-term backup. With a rookie quarterback making his first start, expectations need to be lowered for the entire offense.

Carolina Panthers QB Will Grier was not drafted to challenge Cam Newton, according to general manager Marty Hurney. 'This is about developing a young guy and improving depth at the most important position,' Hurney said.
