Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew has reportedly organized video sessions with his teammates - in addition to the regular virtual OTA meetings run by the coaches - as players try to work through the offense together remotely, according to TE Tyler Eifert. '(Minshew) took charge, took initiative during the OTAs to get the guys together aside from our OTA meetings. We'd get on and do like a virtual walkthrough. It's just good to learn a little bit different than just looking at your installs and trying to memorize it. You've got to think on your feet a little bit,' Eifert told Sirius XM NFL Radio.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew earned a 94.7 Pro Football Focus grade on throws of at least 20 yards downfield in 2019, ranking him third among quarterbacks.
Huddle Up: Minshew didn't grade out as well fantasy-wise, ranking 21st among QB with an average of 20.1 fantasy points per contest. Expect some improvement in Year 2, but he's still only a mid-level QB2 at best.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew is familiar with the talents of rookie WR Laviska Shenault Jr. and what he can do for an offense from their time playing against each other in college. 'Every time he touched the ball you just got nervous because you know he could break it,' Minshew said.
Huddle Up: Minshew formed quick chemistry with WR DJ Chark Jr. in his rookie season under center while splitting time with Nick Foles. Chark finished the year with 1,008 yards and Chris Conley totaled 775 receiving yards. Shenault could take over the No. 2 role early on for the Jags and there should be plenty of volume available with the Jaguars expected to trail more often than not in 2020.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew will have the offense tailored to him in 2020, according to offensive coordinator Jay Gruden. 'It's my job to make it mesh, to take on the personality of our quarterback - and for him to understand what we're trying to get accomplished on play-to-play, game-to-game, week-to-week basis is going to be critical,' Gruden said. ... 'Now, it's just a matter of him getting some general knowledge of our offense and me figuring out what he likes, what he doesn't like - what makes him tick - and go from there.'
Huddle Up: Minshew completed 60.6 percent of his passes for 3,271 yards and 21 touchdowns against a modest six interceptions over 12 starts and 14 games as a rookie in 2019. He added 344 rushing yards on 67 attempts, showing impressive mobility. He has some quality pass-catchers in WRs DJ Chark Jr., Dede Westbrook, Laviska Shenault Jr. and TE Tyler Eifert, and the running ability provides a stable fantasy floor. He should be targeted as a mid-tier QB2 in redraft leagues but is a risky dynasty asset who could be replaced in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew will be working on making more plays from the pocket, according to head coach Doug Marrone. The priorities will be developing rhythm and reads and deciphering coverage. Marrone added they don't want to discourage Minshew from using his creativity, but they want him to make good decisions.
Huddle Up: Minshew was a little bit better in reality (6-6 record, 21 TDs, 6 interceptions) than fantasy (21st among QBs with 20.1 points per game) last season. He's now the Jags' clear-cut starter with Nick Foles now gone, but he shouldn't be considered anything than a low-end QB2 for fantasy purposes.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew on Friday, May 1, received a semi vote of confidence from head coach Doug Marrone, who also left the door open to the team adding a quarterback as well. 'Ya, he's our QB, there's no doubt about it,' Marrone said in an interview on Good Morning Football. '... But one of the things that we're doing, we're still looking to to make sure were upgraded at each position. There are some veterans out there that we might look at to bring in.'
Huddle Up: As a rookie in 2019, Minshew threw for 3,271 yards, 21 TDs and six interceptions while rushing for 344 additional yards to finish 19th among fantasy QBs in total points. Joshua Dobbs and rookie sixth-round pick Jake Luton are the only other QBs on the roster and it's very possible the Jags add a veteran free agent with the team being one of the favorites at sportsbooks to add an Andy Dalton or Cam Newton. Stay tuned ...

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew will be joined on the roster by at least one more quarterback in the coming, according to general manager David Caldwell. 'We'll get through the draft and see what comes out of the draft,' Caldwell said. 'If one presents itself, we'll pull the trigger. If not, we'll look to see what's on the street.'

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew is believed to be given a real shot at the position, and the team isn't expected to take a quarterback at No. 9 in the NFL draft, according to a friend of general manager David Caldwell.
Huddle Up: Minshew showed some flashes in fantasy during his tenure last season, and he could be a high-upside QB2 to target.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew was credited with a league-high 49 scrambles - designed pass plays in which the quarterback opted to run - in 2019.

xJacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew is expected to be the starter in 2020 after QB Nick Foles was acquired by the Chicago Bears Wednesday, March 18, in exchange for a compensatory fourth-round pick.
Huddle Up: The move opens up the door for Gardner Minshew to start in Jacksonville. Minshew threw for 3,271 yards, 21 touchdowns and six picks in 14 games last season. He also ran for 344 yards. He'll be an upside backup selection in fantasy drafts.
