Detroit Lions QB Teddy Bridgewater has "decided to step away" from the team, according to head coach Dan Campbell on Sunday, Aug. 9. He is apparently considering retirement from the NFL at age 33. He was set to be the team's primary backup to QB Jared Goff. Now, QB Tom Kennedy will get a longer look, starting the preseason opener Thursday, Aug. 13, against the Cincinnati Bengals. Rookie QB Luke Altmyer is also in camp. The team is also expected to work out a few QBs.
