Tennessee Titans QB Malik Willis ''isn't in a competition with Ryan Tannehill right now, and he won't be breathing down his neck to win the starting job in training camp either,'' according to Jim Wyatt of the team's website.

Huddle Up: Wyatt noted that Willis stood out in a good way during rookie minicamp but that his job is to "learn, and improve, as much as possible in his first days, weeks and months on the job." There is more than a decent chance that Logan Woodside would get the nod this year if Tannehill is forced to miss time. However, all bets are off in 2023. If Willis shows a lot of progress between now and then, Tennessee could easily try to move Tannehill's projected $36.6 million cap hit to another team in his age-35 season.

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill has been in communication with the Titans and is expected to report for voluntary workouts in the near future, according to head coach Mike Vrabel.

Huddle Up: Tannehill saw a dip in his passing touchdowns this past season and threw at least 10 interceptions for the first time in four years. The Titans are still more of a running team moving forward, which makes Tannehill a No. 2 fantasy quarterback.

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill was not present for the start of the team's voluntary offseason program on Monday, April 18.

Huddle Up: It isn't clear why Tannehill is absent, but it's important to note that this portion of the offseason program is voluntary. We fully expect the veteran quarterback to slot in as Tennessee's starter and post QB2 numbers.

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill is not expected to be released or traded this offseason, according to Joel Corry of CBS Sports. The Titans would likely incur a dead cap charge of at least $57 million by releasing Tannehill, which would result in an $18.8 million loss in cap space. Trading Tannehill before June 1 would result in a dead cap hit of $28.4 million and give Tennessee $10.2 million in cap savings but leave his next team on the hook for his $29 million base salary for next season.

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill completed 13-of-18 passes for 120 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: Tannehill helped stop the seven-game win streak of his former organization while also dashing their playoff hopes. He and the Titans look for redemption in Week 18 at Houston in the regular season opener, but he is nothing more than a QB2 in most fantasy leagues.

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill completed 22 of 29 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, Dec. 23. He also ran three times for 22 yards.

Huddle Up: After looking inept in the first half, the Titans got things turned around in the second, in large because Tannehill kept throwing the ball to A.J. Brown. Perhaps the quarterback's biggest play, however, was a 23-yard scramble inside of two minutes that put Tennessee in position for the game-winning field goal. While his final numbers weren't great, Tannehill reaffirming his connection with Brown at least provides some hope he can help fantasy owners over the final two weeks.
