Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill completed 16 of his 34 pass attempts for 198 yards and three interceptions in a 16-15 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 1.
Huddle Up: It was an ugly opener for Tannehill, and while he won't turn the ball over as frequently on a weekly basis, he is a only matchup-dependent QB2 on his better days.

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill will be "the starter Week 1," ESPN's Dianna Russini reported on Wednesday, May 10. "This is his team, he is the guy," Russini said.
Huddle Up: While the selection of Will Levis in the second round certainly added a question mark to Tennessee's starting situation, Tannehill was always the favorite to start and play out the final year of his contract. Unfortunately for him, Tennessee's receiving corps. is one of the worst in the NFL, making Tannehill nothing more than a QB3 entering 2023.

Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis will begin his career as the No. 3 quarterback, but there will be a competition between Levis, QB Ryan Tannehill, and QB Malik Willis throughout camp, according to general manager Ran Carthon.

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is still recovering from a high-ankle sprain suffered late last season, but head coach Mike Vrabel made it clear he anticipates Tannehill will remain the starting quarterback in 2023. "Ryan is getting healthy. He has been putting the work in. It is good to see him around the building. So yeah, we always expect that. But to make predictions - I think I have been through this last year (with A.J. Brown) - I am not going to commit to anybody being on our roster in September. I've seen it change too quickly. Of course, we want Ryan as our quarterback, and everybody else that has helped us win. That is what we want," Vrabel said.
Huddle Up: Malik Willis did not prove he was ready for the big time quite yet as a rookie, and it remains to be seen if the No. 11 overall pick is high enough for the team to select another quarterback if the Titans are even interested in going that route. Tannehill has proven he is a competent enough player to lead an offense so long as he has a stud like Derrick Henry lining up behind him and an elite playmaker like Brown at his disposal. Tannehill desperately needs Treylon Burks to take the next step in his development.

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill is expected to start in 2023, head coach Mike Vrabel said on Monday, March 27, but he wouldn't fully commit to the veteran. "So, yeah, we always expect that, but to make predictions -- I think I've been through this last year -- [I'm] not going to commit to anybody being on our roster in September. I've seen it change too quickly. And of course we want Ryan as our quarterback and everybody else that's helped us win."
Huddle Up: This is the second middle-of-the-road answer the Titans have given on Tannehill this offseason, so it would seem they aren't set on him quite yet. That said, their options to replace him have dwindled and he remains the most likely option for Tennessee under center. Tannehill's stock is in QB3 territory after a disastrous year for himself and the offense, and that won't change until the Titans provide better weapons for him. Thus far, they have failed to do that.

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill is "under contract for us and right now he is a Titan and he will be a Titan," according to general manager Ran Carthon.
Huddle Up: This is a strong statement for a new general manager to make, so it appears Tannehill will be playing in Tennessee in 2023. It helped his cause that rookie Malik Willis was unable to do much with his opportunities last season, but Tannehill is also not that far removed from being one of the league's most efficient quarterbacks. Perhaps a change in play-calling (Tim Kelly will take over for Todd Downing) will be a step in the right direction. Regardless, Tannehill figures to be a ho-hum fantasy QB2 in fantasy next season.
