New England Patriots RB Damien Harris rushed for 62 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries against the New York Jets in Week 2.
Huddle Up: Harris is still the main running back for the Patriots despite his costly fumble in Week 1. He should receive a similar workload next week against the New Orleans Saints and can be a No. 2 running back or flex option in fantasy leagues.

New England Patriots RB Damien Harris' workload could decrease after a costly fumble late in the Week 1 game, according to beat writer Mike Reiss. Harris played 40 snaps in the game partially because RB Rhamondre Stevenson fumbled earlier in the game and took a seat. RB J.J. Taylor, who was a healthy scratch in the opener, could replace Stevenson and supplement Harris next week.
Huddle Up: The reduced snaps probably aren't going to have a drastically negative effect on Harris. Stevenson, however, looks like he's in the doghouse now. Taylor may be worth scooping in deeper leagues as a handcuff to Harris, but Harris will remain a temperamental RB2.

New England Patriots RB Damien Harris carried the ball 23 times for 100 yards against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Sept. 12. He also caught two passes for 17 yards.
Huddle Up: Harris was New England's workhorse on Sunday, logging 23 of the team's 30 total carries. He took a backseat to James White in the passing game, but there was at least some involvement as he never had more than one catch a season ago. His late fumble effectively ended New England's hopes of winning, but it's hard to imagine Bill Belichick will pull the plug on Harris over a single miscue no matter how costly. Harris should be an RB2 going forward.

New England Patriots RB Damien Harris is 'off to a really good start in preparation for the season,' according to head coach Bill Belichick.
Huddle Up: ESPN.com's Mike Reiss went so far as to say Harris is the "surefire No. 1 option" in the Patriots' backfield, which is a phrase that hasn't been uttered much about New England running backs in the Belichick era. With that said, it is unlikely Harris will ever get a chance to be a true feature back given the Patriots' adherence to a committee backfield, but it does suggest Harris is a good bet for 15 touches per week behind one of the league's best run-blocking offensive lines. Consider him a decent low-end RB2 for fantasy purposes.

New England Patriots RB Damien Harris performed very well during offseason workouts despite being pushed hard by the coaches, according to head coach Bill Belichick.
Huddle Up: Harris is on track to be the starting running back for the Patriots will still need to share playing time with Sony Michel, James White and possibly Rhamondre Stevenson. Harris can still be a No. 2 or No. 3 back in most fantasy leagues.

New England Patriots RB Damien Harris ranked 12th among running backs with 69.1 rushing yards per game and seventh with 5.0 yards per carry in 2020.
Huddle Up: Harris emerged as New England's top back on early downs before suffering an ankle injury late in the year, but between Bill Belichick's tendency to use a committee in the backfield and Harris' complete lack of involvement in the passing game, it is hard to view him as more than a speculative RB3 heading into 2021.

New England Patriots RB Damien Harris (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Jan. 2.
Huddle Up: Sony Michel should receive most of the work at running back this week with Harris unavailable and can be a No. 2 running back or flex option in fantasy leagues.

New England Patriots RB Damien Harris (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 1, and has been ruled out for Week 17.
Huddle Up: Sony Michel should receive most of the carries in the running back with Harris sidelined. Michel will be facing an improving New York Jets defense but can still be at least a flex option in leagues.

New England Patriots RB Damien Harris (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 31.
Huddle Up: Harris has missed the last two games despite being a limited participant in practice, so he may be a game-time decision this week. He probably would be part of a committee if he plays and can be avoided in most leagues if other options are available.

New England Patriots RB Damien Harris (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.
Huddle Up: Harris has been a limited participant during practice over the last several weeks but has been inactive for the last two games. Fantasy players should check on his status later in the week to see if he will play in Week 17.
