New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson said that he and the team's other wide receivers may have different responsibilities this season, even though Shawn Jefferson is still serving as the receivers coach. For example, Wilson said there will be offensive plays designed where he will seek out a safety and block him.
Huddle Up: Despite the likelihood that he will be used more frequently in a blocking role, Wilson remains New York's top receiving threat and should be a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Contract extension talks between the New York Jets and WR Garrett Wilson are expected to heat up during training camp, according to ESPN.com's Rich Cimini.
Huddle Up: Wilson, who is scheduled to hit free agency in 2027, has expressed a desire to remain with the Jets for his entire career. The organization will be amongst the NFL's leaders in salary cap space after June 2, so there is optimism that a deal will be finalized before he hits the open market. Wilson should be New York's main receiving option in 2025 and can be viewed as a weekly starting candidate in fantasy leagues.

New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson will be targeted "as much as possible" next season, according to head coach Aaron Glenn.
Huddle Up: With Davante Adams out of the picture, Wilson is again the unquestioned No. 1 option for the Jets. The quarterback situation isn't ideal, but that has been the case for much of Wilson's career. He should be a solid WR2 on volume alone.

New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson has had some contract extension talks with the Jets this offseason and hopes to remain with the team for the rest of his career.
Huddle Up: Wilson had his fifth-year option picked up this offseason, so he will be with the team for at least two more seasons. He will be working with a new quarterback in 2025 but should still be the main option in the passing game. He should be a weekly starting option in fantasy leagues.

New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson had his fifth-year option exercised Monday, April 21. The option is worth $16.8 million.
Huddle Up: Wilson was the WR9 in PPR leagues last season, and if his QB situation ever stabilizes, he could be top three. He'll remain a good WR1 option in fantasy.

The New York Jets plan to exercise the fifth-year options on the rookie contracts for CB Sauce Gardner, WR Garrett Wilson and DE Jermaine Johnson ahead of the May deadline. All three players were first-round draft picks by the Jets in 2022.

New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson caught four of his five targets for 51 yards in a 32-20 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 18, becoming the second player in franchise history to reach 100 catches in a season.

New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson finished with seven receptions on eight targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in a 40-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 17. He also lost a fumble.
Huddle Up: As ugly as this game turned out to be, Wilson actually salvaged a solid line, topping 1,000 yards for the season in the process.

New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson caught six passes for 54 yards against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16. He was targeted seven times during the game.
Huddle Up: Wilson has been catching a lot of passes during the second half of the season but has posted at least 60 yards in only one of his last six games. He should continue to be a weekly starting option in all leagues but is more valuable in point-per-reception leagues.

New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson did not give a definitive answer when recently asked if he would like to return to the team for the 2025 season. There has been speculation that he could ask for an offseason trade, although he is also eligible to be given a contract extension for the first time in his career, since he will have completed his third year in the NFL.
Huddle Up: Through 14 games this year, the 24-year-old Wilson has 84 receptions for 933 yards and six touchdowns. He can continue to be viewed as a starting option in all fantasy formats.
