Free-agent WR Isaiah McKenzie (Colts) signed with the Indianapolis Colts Wednesday, Aug. 30. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also placed TE Jelani Woods (hamstring) on the Reserve/Injured list.

Huddle Up: Woods did not play during the preseason and has yet to even practice. Now we know why. When asked about Woods' return, Steichen could only offer "hopefully sooner than later." Quite frankly, it is amazing it took this long for someone in Indianapolis to ask why Woods has been out so long. Woods may be able to emerge as a key cog in the passing game at some point later in the season, but it seems more likely that he could land on injured reserve in the coming days.

Huddle Up: Steichen did not elaborate on the seriousness of the injury, but fantasy managers who favor punting the tight end position do not want to see this news. Woods is a popular sleeper who some believe will be Steichen's new Dallas Goedert. Expect Indianapolis to take it slow on his return to the field as hamstring injuries can linger if players try to rush back too soon. Consider Woods a strong TE2 option in fantasy drafts for now.
