Washington Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. (leg) is expected to be activated from the Reserve/Non-Football Injury within the next week, according to sources. His status for Week 5 is uncertain at this time.
Huddle Up: Robinson played well during the preseason but probably will be eased back into the offense once he is cleared to play. He is not a starting fantasy option at this point, but he could have value later in the season.

Washington Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. (leg) was able to work out before the Week 3 game Sunday, Sept. 25, and was running routes during the workout.
Huddle Up: Robinson is on the Non-Football injury list and will have to miss two more games but may be able to return shortly after he is eligible. He has a chance to earn a solid role in the offense this season, so fantasy players may want to consider stashing him on their bench.

Washington Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. (leg) has not shown any "ill effects" from the gunshot wounds in his leg since he was shot in a robbery attempt right before the start of the season, according to head coach Ron Rivera. "We're liking what we see; each time we ramp something up he's had no ill effects so far," Rivera told reporters Friday, Sept. 23.
Huddle Up: Rivera added that the renowned Dr. Andrews will be visiting the team this weekend. In short, fantasy managers should expect to hear more about Robinson's timetable soon. Robinson was spotted at practice with the team this week and did not appear to be wearing a sleeve or bandages, so it would appear he has a shot to return to action shortly after he is eligible to be activated from IR. Managers would be wise to stash him if he is somehow available on the wire.

Huddle Up: Remarkable doesn't begin to describe Robinson's quick recovery and it would appear he has a real chance to be back after the minimum four weeks. The rookie looked poised to have a real role before the injury -- and quite possibly a starting one -- so he should be rostered in all formats, especially by Antonio Gibson managers.

Washington Commanders RB Brian Robinson (glute, leg) was released from the hospital on Monday, Aug. 29, after being shot twice in an attempted robbery. Head coach Ron Rivera said there is no timeline for his return yet.

Huddle Up: Robinson's release from the hospital comes just one day after he was shot multiple times. The Commanders didn't place Robinson on the reserve/non-football injury list upon making final cuts, which could be an indication they expect him back sooner than later. Robinson's stock has been on the rise lately as Antonio Gibson has struggled this offseason. The rookie should be rostered in all formats but take a wait-and-see approach before putting him in your lineup.
