Atlanta Falcons RB Brian Robinson Jr. appears to be the heir apparent to serve as the primary backup to starter RB Bijan Robinson. He was a started in Washington for three seasons, but limited to just 92 carries with the San Francisco 49ers in 2025, so he is fresh. He is expected to vie for the job to replace RB Tyler Allgeier (Cardinals). "Brian is a really, really talented football player who matches exceptionally with what we want to do," head coach Kevin Stefanski said. "We want to have an attack that is not just a one-person attack. I think Brian gives us that."
Huddle Up: Robinson will most certainly be the handcuff to the starter, Bijan Robinson, so if you take the latter in Round 1, making sure to take BRJ in the middle to late rounds. It remains to be seen whether Robinson Jr. will have the same type of impact as Allgeier, especially with Raheem Morris' system out the door, and a new system with Stefanski.

Free-agent RB Brian Robinson Jr. (49ers) officially signed with the Atlanta Falcons Thursday, March 26.
Huddle Up: With Tyler Allgeier now in Arizona, Robinson will presumably become the primary backup for Bijan Robinson. Whether or not he turns out to be as much of a touchdown vulture as Allgeier remains to be seen, but regardless, he should be a priority handcuff.

Huddle Up: San Francisco could not establish any sort of rhythm on offense, which limited Robinson to just two touches. He has been a low-usage backup behind Christian McCaffrey since joining the 49ers midseason, but Robinson has been a solid starter in the past and is set to be a free agent. He could compete for a bigger role depending on where he suits up in 2026.

Huddle Up: As long as Christian McCaffrey stays healthy, Robinson's touches are rather limited. Still, he'll be a huge part in trying to help the 49ers to the No. 1 overall seed against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 18. DFS players might want to roll the dice on him, especially if Christian McCaffrey needs more breathers. He was ridden into the ground in Sunday's game, and he needed help loosening up his back.

Huddle Up: You know the deal with Robinson. He gets sprinkled in here and there, but it's rarely enough to even deliver flex value. Nonetheless, Robinson should be rostered in 100% of leagues since he's the handcuff to Christian McCaffrey.
