New England Patriots fourth-round pick RB Pierre Strong is viewed as a potential long-term replacement for RB James White.
Huddle Up: Strong didn't catch a ton of passes in college, but he showed game-breaking ability in space. His pass-blocking skills were also applauded. He'll be worth stashing in dynasty formats and may be worth monitoring for an RB5 pickup in single-year formats.

New England Patriots RB Pierre Strong could find his way quickly into the backfield rotation, in the opinion of Mike Dussault of Patriots.com. ''My expectation is that Strong should immediately earn some rotational work, while Kevin Harris is really a wild card after bouncing back from a back injury last season,'' said Dussault.
Huddle Up: Despite Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson likely reprising their roles from 2021, Strong remains an intriguing name to watch. The fourth-round pick in 2022 is capable of working on all three downs even though that role won't be open with Harris and Stevenson leading the backfield to start. Strong's role may be dependent on how healthy RB James White (hip) will be at the start of the season. Strong isn't more than an RB5 right now, but his speed (4.37 in the 40-yard dash) is a skill that separates him from the rest of the room. Given the constant uncertainty around Bill Belichick's backfield usage, we should keep an eye on his progression when training camp arrives.

South Dakota State RB Pierre Strong was selected by the New England Patriots with the 127th overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: Strong is joining a crowded Patriots backfield, so his role is uncertain at this point. Fantasy players can monitor his progress during training camp, but he probably will not have much fantasy value as a rookie.
